Puppy love ~

This past week was such fun with all of our sons here, Emily,
and of course I can't forget to mention their dogs.

Brent had his dog, Brinkley, an English bulldog and Emily had her dog, Lola, a Boxer, with them. They always bring the dogs and all the animals really get along so well, it's quite surprising! Because don't forget, we have Ellie, and two Devon Rex cats, a cockatiel, an aquarium full of fish and since Dec. 30th, Noah's tenth birthday, a cute little hamster. So to say the least, it's quite the animal farm!

Well, the family that gave us Ellie called and asked if we wanted another one of the puppies, that they only wanted to keep one. Well, Emily has just loved little Ellie and has wanted an "Ellie dog" ever since she laid eyes on her. So to make a long story short, they now have Greta, Ellie's sister!!

She had been living in their garage, so potty training had to start immediately. By the time they left yesterday, Greta was doing really good with her training. I think these are pretty smart dogs.

But I have to tell you, last night, after they pulled off to head home and the house was still and quiet, Ellie was so sad. She's looked in all the rooms for the other dogs, behind the furniture and everything! Today she finally has felt like playing but I have to say, she really misses her buddies!!

Brinkley (above) has his own footstool that we bring out when he visits, I'm sure you can understand why!

Lola and her new little sister, Greta!

Real sisters from the same litter, Ellie and Greta

What a busy house when everyone comes home.
I am sure by the time everone has gone you feel like doing a Brinkley and falling asleep. He looks so gorgeous on that footstool.

Have you thought about maybe gettting another pup? I have 2 miniatures and I think they would be lost without one another.
Ellie is getting so big! She looks so sweet. Her sister has such gentle eyes. They are both beautiful. Hope you have a great new year Dawn. xoxo Nita

Wow, what a bunch of doggies. We have two visitors, Gordon and Arnold, miniature schnauzer's. We will miss them when they go home but the cat's won't!

You really do have a house full when everyone is together, I am sure Brad will add to the mix as soon as he is in his new house. Everyone needs a pet or two or three.

Thank you for sharing the wonderful pics of the pups, I was very lonely for my border collie, this was our first Christmas without a dog since I can remember. After blogging that, I started to look at other blogs, and found yours. Cheery to know life goes on... Kim

Poor Ellie! I would miss all that company too. Brinkley is just wonderful. Nothing like a big old English bulldog to put a smile on your face.
