Our new little corner of the world!

It has been a crazy couple of months.

I mean it.

Moving is never an easy task but when you are an artist

and a lover of all things beautiful...well...

chances are you have WAAAAY too much stuff!

Anyway, who cares.

I love my stuff and believe me,

I've let go of a ton of it.

Donated, sold and discarded so, so very much.

That's good, right?

We are finally settled into our new home and

I'm finally getting to the fun part!!!

Decorating and making it feel like "HOME".

Here is my view as I sat at the computer a few mornings ago ~

These photos are not that wonderful but here is our new living room!!!

We are fluffing and getting ready for Thanksgiving next week!

There is still so much to be unpacked and the studio has been put on hold

until after Thanksgiving but it really is coming along beautifully!!!

One last photo.

Our youngest granddaughter Tilly is now 9 months old and

is such a sweetie pie!!!

I hope you are doing well and getting ready for a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Whether it is big or small, it doesn't matter.

Just to be thankful for your life and all that you are blessed with

is truly what Thanksgiving is all about!

Happy Thanksgiving dear friends!!!

This Thanksgiving my heart overflows with thankfulness.
My eyes fill with tears as I think of all that I'm thankful for...

The love of our Lord who created us and died for us so we could return to Him in Heaven ~

Wonderful parents who raised my brothers and I and loved us unconditionally ~

A precious husband who allows me to be who I am and has loved me now for almost 34 years ~

Five amazing sons that we've been blessed with, who I love dearly with all my heart ~

Emily ~ the daughter that I never had and mother of our two precious grandchildren, I love you ~

Clara and Murray...sweet grandbabies who truly are gifts from Heaven above ~

The precious angels who are loving our sons the way we do ~

Our extended family who loves and supports us always ~

And of course, my dear best friend Lisa who is my true, kindred spirit ~

My beautiful friends, near and far, here in Georgia, across the United States
all the way to Denmark, France, Australia and all around the world!

Thank you for your encouragement and friendship ~ where would I be without you?
I'm not sure but I do know that it is your friendship that sustains,
inspires and encourages me to be an artist,
a better friend and to be the person that I want to be,
thank you so very much.

Getting back to my little sweetie!

Yes, it's been awhile!

But I get sidetracked easily and plus I was a bit intimidated

about painting her face ~

But I did it!!!

This weekend I just decided to go for it and if I messed up,

I would just paint over it and start again.

Here's my first try and I'm so pleased...

yes, she's still naked and bald but I'm working on her hair right now.

I'm using suri alpaca wool for her hair.

Each piece has to thoroughly combed and cleaned then

I make tufts to glue around her head starting at the nape of her neck.

I'm going to cut it into a sweet bob I think, we'll see!

You can see in the photo below, on the right is how the hair starts off

and on the left after combing and cleaning....

you have to comb it with a large needle too!

I hope her hair turns out OK...but I guess you never learn until you try!!

And my last set of three pumpkins is finished!!

I just love this wonderful crinkly fabric...

perfect to take you through fall and even into Thanksgiving.

They would be beautiful piled into a wire basket!!!

Sweet family...

We had such a great Thanksgiving!!!

We spent Thursday afternoon with hubby's family and

everyone was there...all our boys, Emily and the grandbabies ~

The food was amazing and it was just so good

for everyone to be together!

As I get older I realize how precious these times are...

our families are so very busy all year long it's just

so good that we can stop

and gather together

for this precious time.

Today, we are having my family's Thanksgiving!

My parent's are in town and

since our dining room is now our little soap shop,

we are having our dinner at David and Chase's home...

I'm so thankful our boys don't mind hosting us this year!!

We truly are so very blessed.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving...

whether it was a large event

or even a small one.

To pause and give thanks for all we've been blessed with

is what really matters.

I finally finished the large rose sachet order!!!

Everything is all packaged up and ready to be mailed Monday ~

I did make two extra rose sachets that have been added

to my little Etsy store if you'd like to take a peek!!!

Precious family ~

We had the most wonderful Thanksgiving!

Both of them!!!!

Yes, we have two ~

We celebrated Thursday with my husband's family and

enjoyed so much delicious food and fun ~

all of our boys were there, Emily, Clara and Murray too!

Friday, my parents came in to town and we had another

amazing dinner on Saturday with everyone present there

as well. The weather was crisp, cool and gorgeous!!

When our boys are all here,

my heart just fills with love and

my eyes with tears.

And to have these precious babies and their mama here too?

A true blessing!!!!

I am so very thankful for my dear family....

Now to get back into the groove around here!!!

I have a few projects in the works and several packages

to get in the mail....

Tiny sweetness and good wishes!

I had a few orders for these little sweeties and of course,

I went ahead and made a few extras!!!

I love these little candy cups...

my sweet friend Lisa sent a goody package for Clara and I the other day

and she included a package of these yummy Ferrero Rocher candies

just for me to use in my next photo shoot!

Well, they are my fav candy and they've been waiting around

here in the studio for a few days now and FINALLY

I took a few photos with them!

But you know where they are now, right???

GONE.

Beautiful holiday images for you!

I have a few goodies to share!!!

Since all I've been doing is creating more fabric angel wings,

(and I knew you didn't want to see those things again)

I simply dug around on my computer and found

some really sweet Thanksgiving and Christmas images for you ~

Use them to create tags, napkin rings, place cards, or greeting cards!

Remember to click each image a couple of times

so you can save the largest size ~

When you go to print them,

open the ones you've selected in your

photo editing software.

You can usually choose different sizes there!

After printing these out...try applying just a little white glue

here and there on the image. Say on her collar, hat and even the wording...

then sprinkle with fine, crystal glitter to add a wonderful sparkle!

The two women below would be perfect on Christmas tags ~

The one below is really for the new year but isn't she pretty??

Here's hoping that I catch up a bit on the angel wings today

so I can start on something new!!

Making the same thing over and over certainly

make me a dull girl!!

A thankful heart...

It's so easy to get lost in the cleaning, preparing of food and fluffing for

our family gatherings....women are just like that!

We just want everything to be perfect, don't we?

I'm talking to myself here you know!

Well, the time is here ~

the time to gather together to give thanks

for all that we've been blessed with.

Precious family....dear friends....a home to keep us warm ~

and a free country that so many have sacrificed to keep that way.

Thank you Lord above for all you've give us,

may we keep this thankful spirit each and every day of the year!

A blank canvas ~

Hi sweet friends! I'm still working around the house,

changing a few things and cleaning even more.

Do you remember this old window from our old house?

I had it hanging over the fireplace filled with these
beautiful rose botanical prints.

Well, I've had it here at the farmhouse for over a year now

and hadn't found a home for it yet.

And truthfully, the rose prints needed to go ~

as much as I love them, change is good, right?

We'll see I guess!!!

It's hanging now on one of the dining room walls just waiting for a makeover.....

I'm going to think a little about it as I know there are tons of great ideas

to make this old window look beautiful!
