A few new things...

I finished a bunch of little sachets for my sweet friend Linda...
I printed the new graphic I created for her post cards onto fabric
and turned them into lavender sachets!
I hope she loves them.....

I had to make her a special lavender sachet as a thank-you.....
just for her to enjoy and to thank her for buying my wares ~

And as I'm creating these goodies...I turn around to head to my sewing machine and
THIS is what I see!!! Thelma sunning herself under one of my lamps ~
LIVIN' THE LIFE.....

Happy Tuesday angels....
hugs and love,
Dawn

A little goodness...it makes me smile ~

One is this sweet little or may I say BIG, swaddle cuddle blanket
for our growing grandbaby Murray.
He just LOVES being swaddled when he sleeps and has
outgrown his first one ~ so his Mimi just HAD to make him
a new, bigger, cooler for Spring and stretchier one!
He's going on five months old now and weighs twenty pounds!

Sorry about the little ol' baby doll, but I just wanted you to see how it's used...

Now to have a fitting with our angel Murray!!!

I'm also working on a prototype lavender sachet for my
sweet friend Linda of Willow Nest ~
She wants to sell a few at her shows...
what do you think?
Do you like the raggedy ruffles on the ends?

Making beautiful things.
'tis so wonderful!

Happy Tuesday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

The beauty of Willow Nest ~

Simply enjoy the gorgeousness...

And just what am I working on now?
Well, I've been working with Linda Marcov of Willow Nest
with some graphic design projects, can you believe that??

I've admired Linda for YEARS now...
I saw her home featured in a magazine a long time ago
and fell in love her taste and style.
She was one of the first people that cheered me on
as an artist and blogger, a truly precious soul.

Linda and her husband Ludmil used to live in Washington State
and would have amazing antique sales on their property there.
They moved to Texas for a while
and are now in California
selling their beautiful finds and creations.

I've designed a postcard for her and am now working on
a flyer and some tags....
and you should see the gorgeous ephemera she sent me
to scan and use, it's all just GORGEOUS!!!

I have been so worried I couldn't create something
that she would love,
that would represent "her" and her wonderful taste.
But...she LOVED the postcard!!!

So now I'm designing on the other two pieces to be printed.
It's only been fifteen or so years since I prepared
something to go to press!!

I have to share a precious photo with you...
A sweet customer, Megan, purchased my angel wings tutorial
for the purpose of creating them for a photo shoot of her precious baby!!
She sent me a photo and I think the photograph is just gorgeous!
The photography is by Memories by Brandi in Iowa

And speaking of precious bebes...
here are a few pics of our Clara and Murray taken recently by their mama ~

I'm trying so hard to get back in the groove around here...
It's taking me awhile though.
I'm still a little weak but feeling better each day.
We take our good health for granted you know ~

A kind word is never wasted ~

When I first started blogging and creating a few art pieces I received a wonderful email one day. The email was from Linda, the owner of Willow Nest! For those that don't know, Linda and her husband Ludmil had a beautiful place up in the northwest where they had amazing antique shows called Willow Nest Farm. They would have the shows right on their property! Her home was featured several times in magazines and her taste is just beautiful. Well, she complimented my artwork and suggested that I send some into Somerset for publication. They now live in Texas and have opened a beautiful store featuring all the things that they love.

I'll never forget her encouraging words to me. Sometimes all we need is just a sweet word to push us. A compliment to give us confidence. I appreciate her taking the time to contact me and give me that assurance I needed at the time. You just never know what kind of influence your kindness has on someone ~ Thank you so much Linda!

Please stop by her blog
and watch her slide show, you. will. love it!!!
