Making a bit of progress!!!!

I'm still not finished but making great progress!!
I'm loving the look of fresh fallen snow and the glitter
adds such a beautiful, sparkly quality.

But I'm getting tired of the process as I'm painting the tops of each. and. every. limb!!!!
Oh well....the rewards will be beautiful I am sure, I can see it in my mind's eye...

I found tons more tags that I'd made to share with you too!!!
Here they are...a few tags, a few images:

He is my friend, my strength, the amazing father of our five sons
and my cherished soul mate....
I am so very thankful he chose me!!!
Happy Birthday sweet man ~

By little I mean this tree is quite tiny!!
I've decorated it with small vintage beads...
a little ripped seam binding for the garland,
pieces of vintage jewelry and

The tree was painted a very creamy white and then
sparkled up with ultra fine clear glitter and
just a touch of silver glitter too!

I found the perfect silver candle stand and glass cloche
to display this little sweetie too....
you'll get it all!

Please simply comment on
THIS POST

To win my little tree under glass ~

Another little gift for you....
I found these sweet Christmas botanicals on
Kelly's blog Dreaming of Vintage and turned them into tags too!

Twelve days of giving....well, almost

Do you know how thankful I am for you???
For you taking the time to click on my blog....
to see what I'm doing,
and even more, for leaving me a precious comment???

I want to try to give you some little something
each day you come here until Christmas ~
If I could I would send each and every one of you a sweet gift,
because I know we both love the same things, right???

Since I'm unable to do that....
maybe I can offer a little image gift, or some little bit of information
that I think you'll love for these next twelve days!

First, I've transformed a couple of the bird images that I offered yesterday
into tag pages for you!
I know most of you love birds like I do
and would love to use these as package tags.

Here they are:

And I figured something new out!

For you to be able to save the LARGEST size that I've saved these tags in
this is what you do ~

Right click on the image.
Left click "OPEN LINK IN NEW WINDOW"
Then....Left click the image AGAIN.....you will now have the FULL SIZED IMAGE.
Now you can right click it to "save image as"
and save it to your own computer in a folder you will remember it's location.

When you go to print it, be sure to make it fit the entire page size.

And what would be a good paper to print these on??
My very favorite paper is
STAPLES 67lb Cover Stock in the Creme color.

But don't worry, if you don't have a Staples nearby ~
simply print out onto plain copy paper and glue to a piece of thin cardboard,
(remember, you can use food packaging boxes...they're a great source!)
then cut out with your scissors and punch a little hole in the top ~
insert a small piece of twine, ribbon or seam binding to attach to your gift!

I'm also working on a new bottle brush Christmas tree just to give away!!!
Here is the "before" pic.....this little tree is quite naked right now!
I'll be sure to let you know which post to comment on for the giveaway ~

Have a wonderful Wednesday precious friends....
and thank you so much for visiting me!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Evergreen bundles ~

Sometimes the most simple ideas can spark your imagination ~
This is one of those...

I've been thinking of these little evergreen bundles and wanting to share them with you. I have little conifer bushes around my garage and snipped a small limb off.

I cut it into three pieces, but you gauge how large
you want your bundle to be ~

Lay the very tip on top of the middle section to form a bigger bundle ~

Take about a 24" length of hemp and tie, wrap and knot the bundle together leaving two strands.

Tie on a snippet of old lace and you could even add a strip of ribbon you love, seam binding or a strip of torn fabric ~ tie onto your bundle. This is where you get your creative energy going...maybe tie on a cinnamon stick, red berries....etc.

I've added an old clip-on earring to the bundle.

So now, instead of hanging tassels on your cabinet knobs or doors.....

Hang a festive greenery bundle to add a special touch to your home or gifts!! Plus you can salvage your lace and earring should the greenery dry out after Christmas....

Any greenery will do, clippings from a pine tree, boxwood or even a snippet from a shrub outside your door ~

A few Santa tags for you!

Look at Diana of Vintage Blue Studio's new snowman ornament!!!!
I love how different they all can look ~ use your creativity, the colors you love and make your own little snowman ornament ~

Today we just about finished up our Christmas shopping!!!! YAAAAAY!!! I'm so proud to have it done ~ just a few gift cards left and they are pretty stress free.

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend sweet friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn
