It'll be here before you know it!

It's like this...Fall has finally arrived and
we're all lovin' the leaves and the cooler weather....
Halloween will sneak up on us then
BOOM!!!!
Christmas will have come and gone in a flash!!!
And poor ol' Thankgiving was a little blur we passed along the way....

Now's the time to start making your Christmas pretties
and I wanted to remind you of my free tutorials ~

The links are always located in the upper left column of my blog....

This has nothing to do with this post but that I love this Christmas decorating book!!

And I love this one too!!

It really will be here in the blink of an eye!!

Have a beautiful Thursday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

A wee stocking ornament tutorial ~

I was dying to try out the new Martha Christmas snow glitter
that I found at Michael's the other day so i whipped up
a little stocking ornament out of cotton batting.

A simple thing really, you don't even have to worry
about the open edge as it doesn't fray.

I sewed around with about a scant 1/4" seam allowance
and turned it right side out.

I then stuffed it very lightly with fiber fill, glued on a seam binding loop,
covered that with a glued on button (used my handy dandy Fabri Tac),
glued on some eyelash fringe that I had in my stash,
sewed on one of my teeny tiny bells
(that I sprayed and glittered too)
then lightly, ever-so lightly misted the entire thing with spray glue!
Next, I rolled it around in the beautiful glitter
and stuffed lace scraps inside!

It would be sweet filled with one of those
Ferrero Rocher candy three packs too :)

My little pattern for you ~
mine measures 6 1/2" from the very top to the very bottom.

Some of my finds from our new Hobby Lobby! I buy the strangest things...there's no rhyme or reason to it all but I just know I can use the tidbits eventually. I'm in love with the teeny hardware, as I have a few assemblage ideas for Pam's book and I'll need it. Some gorgeous feathers, I'm always adding to that collection. I bought the small yo-yo maker (had a coupon!) because I'm dying to make some of Sandy's acorns ~

Wire, I don't know why but yes I had to have it. And a brayer that I've always wanted (Noah bought this for me with his coupon ;)

A scrap of pink fabric for less that 2.00,
don't you love the little bunched up areas?

Their drieds were half off so more branches ~

All very inexpensive things but wonderful!

I hope you have a great Thursday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn
