I finally popped all of my sweet resin babies out!
Well, popped really isn't the word, it's more like pulled them out with tiny pliers!
But I don't know if my mold was the same as Lisa's or if my resin recipe was dead on.
You have to combine EXACTLY half of each component ~ remember that :)
Here are a couple of boo boos ~ if you're not careful when inserting the images,
you can have a bubble of air underneath the image!
I still love them both though ~
what is wrong with me loving even the less that desirable baubles?
I ended up cutting up my candy tray and thought, why not reuse them again?
If I have to use the pliers again, who cares?
Here are the ones with the bubbles again with the one I crammed a chunk of lace in ~
It's really neat except you can't see the lace clearly unless you have it back lit.
Here's the other big one ~ it was poured into a paint well rather than a candy mold.
The hydrangea doesn't look that wonderful inside though :)
OH! And my solution to the gummy top of the other big bauble
with the clock face inside?
with the clock face inside?
I found a tiny watch face and glued it right over top of the gummy part!!
I just love the look of it!
I just love the look of it!
And on these babies....I've painted the bases with some new MS paint.
I love the creamy color and now want to coat them
with a pretty creamy pearl color!
with a pretty creamy pearl color!
I hope to be able to glue old pearls onto the branches
then add beautiful glitter to them all ~
then add beautiful glitter to them all ~
And btw ~ I think this is what I need from now on
when I make the resin baubles.
when I make the resin baubles.
Just to be on the safe side, you know?
I plan on getting a bottle at Hob Lob next time ~
Well, it's been another week of dragging out the same project for days!
I just hate that!
You know I love sharing tons of different things with you
but it seems that this is how life goes....
But maybe I've encouraged you to try something new?
Happy Thursday precious friends,
love you much,
Dawn
