So much to share!!!

First, take a peek at what's inspiring me now!
I've gotten so picky about the mags I buy now...so I thought I'd share
the few that I've HAD to buy lately!

So much inspiration is packed inside these issues....

Inside Prims...
I'm obsessed with doll making lately ~
we'll see if I can get one made :)
But just take a look at a few of the beautiful pages of the latest issue of Prims:

Lance Perry's wonderful bee on the left....he's Ann Perry's son of The Tin Rabbit!
Ann doesn't post much but take a look at her Flickr
and you'll see where her son's amazing talent came from!!

More wonderfulness...

Becky's gorgeous doll Lilly....from A Wing and a Prayer ~
She SO inspires me!

Inside the current issue of Romantic Country....
look at all of the gorgeous homes featured ~

After I looked at this particular home, I recognized it!!!
It's Rebecca Ersfeld's home!
Just gorgeous....

A few peeks at the January issue of Victoria magazine...this is a gorgeous one!

And lastly, my new issue of Country Living ~ which I haven't even looked at yet!
I just opened up these few pages to share with you and KNEW
you would love it!!!

When I went shopping on my birthday, I always love to visit Joann Etc. and Barnes & Noble.
They are both really far from me and I just don't get to go very often....
Here a few books I found from both of the stores.
Now, I love fairies, and love the flower fairies but that's not why I bought this book.
I bought the purse book because I have an obsession with purse patterns!
This one is chock full of them and I love their simple style.

If I add a strap to this pattern, don't you think it would make a great flea bag???
It's a wonderful small size ~

And if you take a look at a few peeks inside the flower fairies book,
you'll see why I fell in love with it!!!
It's about embroidery and stumpwork.
Well, I'm not too sure what stumpwork is but I LOVE IT!
It's making embroidery 3D I think...
I just thought some of the techniques would be so neat
to incorporate into my artwork in some way ~

Just look at the fairy's dress....I love the manipulation of the fabric!!

And totally changing the subject....
I had these precious doll shoes I've collected in neat old tin, where I couldn't see them ~
so, we were given a snack gift for Christmas in this tall canister and after it was gone,
I cleaned it up, removed the labels and put my little doll shoes inside so I can SEE them!
Now, they can INSPIRE me!!!!

I had to show you these too...
my sweet little trees are getting packed away until next year ~
I had high hopes I'd get so many more finished!!!

And GUESS WHAT?
I was contacted by BH&G and they want to feature
my artwork in their next issue of Holiday Crafts!!!!

My dear sister-in-law has just opened her very own Etsy shop!!!!
She makes the most delicious candied pecans....
wouldn't these make the most wonderful favors for a shower or wedding?
Just bundle a little handful up in a tulle circle, tie with ribbon and place in a huge basket!

And just look at what my family has been up to in the soap making biz!!!
Precious birds from wonderful shea butter soap....
you KNOW I love them!!

Sorry about the MASSIVE post,
But I just had to share it all with you!!!

Have a wonderful Thursday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

oh dear...this girl is bustin' out!

I can't believe it.
I really am a true homebody...and 98% of the time, it's where you'll find me!

But Saturday Karin and I are headed to the Country Living Fair in Atlanta ~
I'm looking forward to seeing a few more blog friends around and
the weather is supposed to be just gorgeous!!

So wish this ol' hermit well....
I'll be sure to take photos to share with you too!!

Wishing you a beautiful Friday sweet friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Stuff you'll love ~

How do I know this?

Well, we both love the same things so I just HAVE to share
a couple of recent magazines I've gotten that are WONDERFUL!

Yes, some of my photos are yucky and blurry but I know you will "get" it ~
and also know you'll want your own copy too!!!

The newest issue of Romantic Homes and a few peeks inside ~

My issue of Country Living finally arrived....
a full WEEK after I saw it at the grocery store!
Does that gripe you?
You pay for a subscription and then receive it
after every other person can buy it before you at the grocery store?
That is SO NOT RIGHT.

Anyway ~
this is a great issue, so much gorgeous stuff is featured inside!
I didn't take tons of pics but you get the idea ~

Thank you so much for dropping by to see me
and especially for saying hello!!!

Love you much dear friends ~
Have a beautiful Wednesday,
hugs and love,
Dawn

We interrupt our scheduled programming.....

There's nothing like Mother Nature
to bring everything around here to
a screeching halt!

I'm sure you know by now that Georgians
aren't the best in maneuvering around in snowy, icy weather ~
So instead of getting out in this yucky weather
we've started a nice fire in the fireplace....
thank goodness it works wonderfully in this ol' house!

I'm going to cuddle up with a few magazines
I've not read yet, do a little laundry and pray
that the ice doesn't make the power go out ~

I hope you're staying cozy and warm!
Please forgive me if I've not been to visit you lately....
maybe I can catch up a little on my blog hopping too!!

Have a wonderful Monday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Every cloud has a silver lining ~

Well, my little junkin' expedition with Cheryl of Zany Mayd was SO rained out!!! But no matter....we were really glad to meet one another!! Cheryl and her niece Jenny arrived before me (big surprise, I'm always arriving at things by the skin of my teeth) but at least they had plenty to keep them occupied. It wasn't raining at first and they poked around outside and were really amazed at all Scott's Antique Market had to offer. To me, outside. IS. THE. BEST! When I arrived it was like we already knew one another, isn't that the most wonderful thing EVER?
That's what blogging does.
We were already friends, but just need to see one another in person.....

We dug around outside in the junk, and it was sprinkling all the time. But no matter, we found a few tiny things to buy. But soon....the rain really started coming down and we just had to go inside. Well, inside the buildings at Scott's is a whole other story. Stuff is crazy expensive and not condusive to serious junkin'. To me it's geared for decorators with client's that have deep pockets and believe me, deep pockets are something I DON'T have.

But we made the best of it and still ended up finding a couple of treasures. We had lunch together and then found a few more tiny things. Cheryl and her sweet niece were just precious and truly they were the silver lining of the day!!! We parted ways and I hit a few more places for some things before heading home.
Here is my little bounty :)

A little test tube love....
I've been obsessing since I missed that wonderful
set at Queen of Hearts ~
the sad thing is I paid almost as much for this as the old set was!

a few antique linens ~ a container for my bebe topiary.....

Sweet handmade gifts from Cheryl ~ I love this nest!!!

Magazines from lovely Walmart ~

Eggs from Marshall's because I have a thing for eggs....

Feathers on clearance at Walmart because, I'm sure you know, I have a thing for feathers!

So, not many finds at all ~ but a good time with a sweet blog friend was the absolute best and a true gift!!!!

I did find a few amazing spaces inside Scott's that let me take a few photos for you ~
I'll be sure to share them with you soon....

Wishing you a great Saturday my sweet friends!
hugs and love,
Dawn
