A good day is . . .

Running up on an estate sale, not intending at all to find it, walking in (it was quite slow at the time) and finding wonderful treasures that no one else cares about or wants, staking claim to what I love and bringing home the bounty.
It may not look like much but it's all so neat to me. My ten year old watched me at this sale and said something like "Wow, mom you went nuts in there!" But you know the deal, grab it quick or it'll be gone . . .

I can share this feeling with you because the very same thing happened to me one Saturday morning during the summer! Isn't it wonderful? I can see we have a lot of the same taste because I love everything you found, and it looks a lot like what I would buy! I found a porcelain hand mold at the one I went to along with vintage linens, a beautiful box with foil work and flowers and some silver items. They are my prized possessions! ENJOY!

I found your blog through Lori's(Faerie Window) and had to tell you that your blog is so beautiful and inspiring. Thanks for sharing so much beauty.

Great finds! What are you doing to do with the forks? Have you seen it where they turn it into a photo stand? The outside prongs get curled forward and the middle ones curled back and out a bit. It's so cute with an old photo!
Enjoy your goodies!

Wonderful finds at the estate sale. I know the feeling your ten-year-old expressed. I also go nuts when I find things like that.
The post from Cottage Gardens is also something extra.

Dawn - you have the heart of an artist. I know you will take those old tortoise-shell 60's glasses and do something wonderful with them. I would love to come visit you sometime and watch how you go about making a creation. My husband loves the bird-box-drawer piece we bought from you. Dixie

I have always seen my friend Nancy (who visits you too) as the estate sale queen. She finds the most amazing bargains and treasures! I am thinking you two could take over the US in bargain buys. LOL! Enjoy your latest treasures.

What lovely treasures. I especially love the "Wonderful Mother" picture and verse. It's beautiful.

I have been visiting your blog regularly for several months now and thought I would let you know I have added your link to my blogroll and also featured your blog in my last post about finding your fairy name.

Blessings,
