Change is in the air and a SALE!!

As the weather changes and begins to cool,

my thoughts always turn to the holidays!

Halloween is fast approaching and we all know

that we'll blink and it will be Thanksgiving...

we'll blink again...and Christmas will be here!!

My mind is spinning, thinking of what project to make next.

I have a few ideas for Christmas that are coming together in my mind,

now just to make them happen!!!

I'm looking through my library of images for inspiration....

I finally finished that big fleur-de-lis soap order!!

Using only one mold was a challenge but I found

that if I just kept at it, steady as you go...

the pile grew bigger and bigger!

They really did look so pretty all stacked up in the box ~

Enjoying Spring's arrival!

Spring had definitely arrived here in Georgia!!!

Our weekend was just wonderful,

Saturday was sunny and Sunday was filled with soft showers....

now everything is looking so GREEN!!!

Saturday DH, Noah, Emily, Clara and I heading out to enjoy the day ~

Emily has been wanting to visit a nearby monastery so we headed out.

The grounds were so beautiful,

A dear monk even blessed our precious Clara ~

Even though we're not Catholic, but non-denominational Christians....

we so loved visiting this peaceful, beautiful and spiritual place.....
and seeing our sweet girl be blessed by a man of God!

Such inspiration ~

Do images and beautiful things affect you? Do they stir you to make your surroundings more beautiful as well? I've always loved looking at beautiful things ~ they make me smile and want to create a home that I'm proud of. A home, that even though at one time was filled with five wonderful sons, my dear husband and several sweet animals, was still pretty and soothing to the eye. I just love chubby little birds ~

I found this illustration in neat old children's book and loved this little bird ~ my plan was to make a pattern out of him, maybe stitch him onto some fabric to have that redwork look . . . wouldn't he be adorable stitched on something for our little grandbaby?

I'm so excited, I ordered the soon-to-be-released-this-coming-Monday new version of Photoshop Elements!! I guess the next thing I should buy is one of those "dummies" how-to books . . . I used Photoshop several years back while working as a graphic designer but was much better at text and just started learning about photographs and color correcting. So we'll see what will come of this new software. If you know of a easy-to-understand book I should buy to help me learn it, I'd love to know what it is!!

Sweet images that I love ~

We had a wonderful Father's Day. We relaxed at home and DH made a yummy meal for us because he just loves to cook. Chicken Enchiladas, Shrimp Bisque and Lemon Pound Cake!!! Delish!

Today we start getting ready for our BIG yard sale this Saturday. I have tons of things to price and signs to make!
