Junkin' therapy.....

Yeah, just when I get everything unpacked and crammed where

I can only HOPE that I remember....

I need a little junkin' therapy!

It's known to be for the soul and lift your spirit!!!

Sometimes when all of my little finds are piled up at the register,

I just stop and look at it ~

It really looks like I found it all at the dump!!!

But it's not trash to me, not one. little. bit.

Look at these little girl shoes, and just get a load of the toes!

A few pieces of old lace, a couple of old baby pics and a very old hinged tin ~

And you know I can't pass up another jar of creamy buttons, right?

This old grandaddy was given to me by a sweet friend....

Well, I found granny this weekend!!!

What am I going to do with them?

I don't know but I just thought they needed to be together.

An old receipt book filled with stubs and incredible handwriting.

Can you believe how old it is??? 1894

A plastic bag filled with loose beads and pearls.

They look wonderful in an old jar ~

The babies ~

More old German trim speckled beautifully from age.

I also found this wonderful box that needs to be altered, don't you think?

A couple of old drawers....

A three bucks each, they had to come home with me!

This small hanging box with four compartments is so neat ~

I think it needs to have speckled eggs and other elements of nature in

each little section!

Found ~ good stuff &A few changes around the house

I hope you had a great weekend!! Ours was really productive. Don't you love it when you have those days where everyone's in the mood to get something accomplished so you work together to get it done?

Our living room was needing a total overhaul, rearranging the furniture, dusting (ugghhh) and editing . . . which as you can see from the after photos below, I don't do very well! I just love cool old stuff and love to have it all around our home. I'll be sharing more photos as things get hung on the walls, too. I don't care for the matchy look, we like a more "collected" look ~ The mantle still isn't finished, I've just been playing around with the arrangement ~

Saturday I stopped by Books-A-Million and found this book to start me on my way with Photoshop Elements 7 ~ it's a bit more simple than the other books I looked through, maybe it will help me get started off on the right foot!

Saturday also included a trip to The Plum Tree! I found this amazing old book (I love it Deborah!). What is it about these books and their covers falling off, I just love them!!

Plus I picked up the new Romantic Homes at The Plum Tree and found Romantic Country at Books-A-Million ~ I love them both!

I have to show you this beautiful fairy tale book that Cindy GAVE me because she knew I would love the illustrations and I DO!! It really is wonderful, thank you so much Cindy ~

And lastly, I found this adorable, happy baby photo at The Plum Tree too ~ I'm thinking she needs fairy wings, don't you? Feel free to take her to use in your artwork ~

Can you believe it's almost October??? My goodness the time is flying by, but I do love fall and our leaves here in Georgia are just beginning to show signs of turning. The temperatures are supposed to really be cooling off this week too!

A few wonderful finds ~

I went treasure hunting Friday and just had to share with you the little treasures I found! I don't know what it is about these precious little baby shirts but when they are only 3.00....they are coming home with me!! I love them! I've been thinking of a few ideas to turn them into artwork but haven't quite gotten around to working on them.

The most adorable little cigar box (if they can be adorable), Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass which is so small, I just love it . . . a French text book, more sheet music (I know, but it ranks right up there with fabric, whoever dies with the most WINS), some great old photos, a group of tiny bottles and one looks like it has that violet hue! An old wallet with our initial on it and the most precious postcard with a big shell and baby on it . . .

Why do I love this tattered, stained, old photo (above)? I can't quite tell you except that she's adorable and I love tattered, stained and old.
