And for an update on the sweet cardinal nest . . . we have babies!!! And they are so very precious. Isn't it amazing that the female cardinal builds the nest, incubates the eggs but calls to the male after they hatch and he is in charge of their care until they leave the nest? She is off to build a new nest for their next little family!

Post # four hundred and ninety nine . . .

Seems as though moma cardinal has been busy!! What beautiful little eggs she has ~ I was very careful and quick to take these photos for you. I don't want to upset her. She's such a good mother. Sitting on them constantly ~ only flying away when we drive up in the car . . . I can't wait to see the babies!!

My next post will be my 500th! I can hardly believe that!! I do love blogging though and I do love sharing ~ you all are my sweet friends and I would have never met you had I not started this little ol' blog!! I thank each and every one of you for taking the time to look at my blog, read what I say and comment about how you feel....thank you, thank you!! Nesting ~

I scanned this beautiful print for you a couple months ago and thought I would offer it to you again. As I waited in the car this morning for my teenager to come out to go to school, I noticed in the shrubbery right beside our driveway a female cardinal was working on her nest. I managed to get a few photos while she was off gathering supplies!!
