New artwork for JoAnnA!

I just completed a couple of projects using JoAnnA's collage sheets from her website ~ Moss Hill Studio.com. I've done something a little out of the ordinary for me and really ended up liking it!!

I don't know why but I think everything I make has to have a message, what is that? Except for maybe the nest assemblages ~ they speak for themselves.

This particular artwork was created on an 11 x 14 canvas. It speaks of how we all are a certain age to ourselves, in our own minds. Not our actual age, but an age we feel we should still be . . .

And a little bookmark using a precious paper doll and another of JoAnnA's adorable dresses. This image so reminds me of my childhood!

Try something new, you just might like it!

Wishing you a great Tuesday sweet friends ~

Free images for you & a little inspiration ~

Sunday was a very productive day for me ~ housecleaning while DH took the boys to a movies is always a good thing! I love doing that while no one's home for some reason. I usually sprinkle a few tablespoons of lavender on the carpet right before I vacuum to help the house smell nice. It was cloudy and rainy so I lit a few candles to make it smell even better! Plus, I had tons of laundry to do, uggh. My least favorite thing but so very necessary.

It didn't leave me a lot of time for creating today but I've started on a few projects for JoAnnA at Moss Hill Studio and haven't quite completed them enough to show them yet.

This first botanical is one that I bought awhile ago and just love. I took it out of the frame to clean it and thought I'd scan it for you too!

This next scan is from my collection from Corey at Tongue in Cheek ~ I love the stains . . . I should have given you this one before the Fourth!

A beautiful postcard back from Corey too ~ don't you love the handwriting?

These next three photos are clips from my idea books ~ I love little ideas. Just small little touches can make things special. Look at these terra cotta pots grouped together and used as a centerpiece ~ the bottoms are casually dipped in paint to add a special touch!

This is another idea I LOVE! I've made these before and sold them ~ chicken wire placed inside of a beautiful old frame ~ just use a staple gun to pull it tight ~ and clip beautiful images, artwork, photos or even fabric swatches and use it as an inspiration board. It could even be a message center in your kitchen!

This particular photo just looks beautiful to me. Elegant but comfortable all at the same time. Have you ever washed damask upholstery fabric before? It puffs up and has the look that's on this chair. I love it!! It has that "lived in look" but still so very pretty.

Just a few little ideas and images for you. I hope that your Monday is a great one!!

New artwork and WONDERFUL news!!

I love these verses so much that I had to create a small artwork featuring them. It's created just on a piece of mat board about 8" x 8" ~ just a scrap, using remnants of ribbons, lace and forgotten little pearls . . .

A new button jar soon to be listed in my Etsy store ~

A pendant created from an old watch, little photo and a few charms ~ soon to be listed it my Etsy store too! I'll be adding the recent fairy jar and the dutch shoe pincushion. I couldn't access my Etsy store right now but will try again later.

And last but CERTAINLY not least, I am honored to tell you that JoAnnA Pierotti has asked me to be on her Design Team to create with her new collage sheets!!! I love JoAnnA and love her work as well. She's put together a great design team and I just can't believe I'm on it!

She's adding to her website daily so please keep checking in on it. You can visit Moss Hill Studio HERE!

Wishing you a wonderful Monday ~ xxoo, Dawn
