I have been blessed five times over with our sons and

I wouldn't trade one day,

one sickness,

one fight,

one hug from sweet little arms,

one injury,

one load of laundry (or fifty),

one sweet handmade card,

one messy room,

one little kiss,

one dirty diaper,

one baby's breath on my cheek,

one trip to school,

or one ANYTHING

for the opportunity

to be a mama.

Thank you Lord.....

I am so honored to be the mom of our precious boys.

And thank you to my wonderful mom

for showing me how to BE a mom,

I love you more than you'll ever know....

I broke needles, I cried a little but finally accomplished what I set out to do.

Seeing beyond the obvious ~

I buy the strangest things at thrift stores.

I guess because I can see beyond the obvious ~

what something could become or

it's potential for beauty.

This blouse was already beautiful though.

Pure linen with exquisite embroidery and frog closures...

Totally not my size but that didn't matter.

I simply saw what it could become.

I've just started transforming it into a purse!

I just happened to have this beautiful Waverly fabric that coordinates perfectly

with the linen....for the lining, bottom and strap!

Another batch...almost there!

So what do you do when you have a pound

of wonderful, fragrant lavender buds?

You make MORE lavender sachets!

Here's another group that are almost finished...almost!

They need a bit of embellishing with seam binding and buttons ~

I just couldn't stay up any later to finish them :(

Sometime today they will end up in my Etsy shop though

in all of their fluffed glory!

Here's the new set in progress:

Pretty good, huh?

I'm just proud to be getting something made for a change.

It's all in the details...

I find myself getting lost in them!! The details that is ~

I can't call a project finished if I'm not happy with the "details."

You know, the tiny touches you add to a piece that make it special ~

Thank goodness I finally finished each and every one of the items

I started this week and they are actually listed in my Etsy now too!!

It feels so good to get it all finished!!!

Especially since I'm itching to create a collage now :)

It's funny how I love to bounce around and create differently ~

from sewing to collage to whatever,

it all makes me so happy!!!

I wanted to share with you a few goodies I've found recently ~

Look at the GORGEOUS graphics on this pocket watch face....

Watch faces like these are my FAVS!!!

I found this old bottle a while back and it had some kind of red dye inside ~

after wrestling with the rusted old top for days and days,

I finally got it off and cleaned it up....

don't you love the shape?

Plus, I received the sweetest gift in the mail!!!!

My dear friend Colette of A Bird in The Hand

sent me the most precious care package!

Folded gently inside of this beautiful dresser scarf

was a delicate embroidered baby slip....

and a length of gorgeous old lace ~

you SO know what I love dear friend.....don't you? :)
