Dreaming of fall...

I can't help myself...I just love fall!

Do you call it Autumn?

I guess being from the south, fall is what it is for us here ~

We've had cooler than normal temperatures here in GA lately.

The highs were even in the seventies last week and this is only August!

But with fall being my very favorite time of the year

it has made me think of the beauty of the season.

The gorgeous leaves...the cooler temps...

and so many precious memories that pile up in my mind.

Do you have a season of the year that brings back

wonderful memories in your life??

Fall is that wonderful time for me.

August is now almost gone...and just how did that happen?

Seems we simply blink and a month has passed by!

Fall is such a brief season here so I will begin to enjoy it now

before it even arrives.

My very favorite time....

We're fifteen minutes into fall now

as I type this post
and I'm so very glad!!!

I'm ready for crisp, cool weather...

the smell of campfires in the air and

the bright, blue sky that is so

beautiful on a fall day ~

We're still moving things over to the new house ~

trying to decide where to place everything.

My studio is going to be downsized by about half :(

But the good thing is I can distribute the items that won't fit

around the house to be used for other purposes.

Plus the overflow of my studio will be in the

guest room, thank goodness!!

Thank you again for your sweet prayers for our brother-in-law Mark ~

He's slowly coming around but is still in ICU...

We are so very blessed by his healing so far!

taking away others....
I'm in love with fall if you haven't noticed dear friends and
I can't help but revel in it
as it will vanish too quickly.

Fall has arrived!

I absolutely love it! It officially arrives this afternoon at 5:18 pm EDT.

It's when my family moved into the neighborhood
where I met my future husband.
I was in fourth grade and he was in sixth.
The air was crisp and it was so fun
making new friends on our street.
Little did I know that the first friend I made
would be the father of our five children!!

Fall was wonderful growing up as a teenager,
driving my car with the windows down,
radio turned up loud and occasionally
catching the aroma of burning firewood........

I remember how wonderful it was the fall I started college ~
the leaves were so beautiful and I was so excited to be there.
Who knew I'd only go about five months to get my art degree???

Fall is also when my husband and I started dating, fell in love....
and became engaged.....

It was in the fall that we anticipated the birth of four of our five sons,
we were always so excited to meet each one of them.

So you see, when a season has so many wonderful memories,
you can't help but love it ~

I found this beautiful image at the thrift and
had to get it so I could remove it
from it's frame and scan it for you ~

Regrets and sweet smiles ~

I had to share this beautiful photograph with you ~ I took it last fall and love the way the sun is peeking through the changing leaves ~ feel free to take for your screen desktop display.....do you do that? Change your desktop image for the season?

My regrets? Selling this beautiful pair of French beds that I painted awhile back for the store.....wouldn't they be lovely in our guest room (for Clara??) Ughhhh ~ I loved them....

We went to Brent and Emily's new house this past weekend ~ and saw this precious angel! She didn't forget us!! We watched the football game together and Brent cooked us dinner....how great is that? Clara will be six months old Sept. 23rd....how in the world did THAT happen??

I've not been very productive with my artwork or projects this past weekend ~ I did buy some beautiful paint for our hall bath and for the shelf that I found for the studio. Now to get busy doing all these things!!!

I love the fall of the year ~

I have since I was a little girl. Seems as though the air is easier to breathe, the sky is a deeper blue and everyone has a little more pep in their step!

We've had a few cool nights here in Georgia, which is really rare in September. October is usually the month that fall arrives and even closer to the end of the month than the beginning.

I wanted to share a few fall images with you ~

The sepia nest is not really fall-ish but I still love it!!

Our house has been quiet this week. It's a good quiet though ~
Emily, Brent and Clara stopped by the other evening after being in their new home for a few days and Clara was an absolute DOLL!
She just laughed, smiled and "talked" the entire visit.
I'm still working on getting the house in order and
trying to get Noah's new bedroom situated.
Then....to decorate the "guest" (Clara's) room!

I need to get creating some artwork though ~
I'm feeling that feeling....you know the one.
If I haven't made something in a while, I get the urge to get busy creating!
