A little something pretty and a new addition to the family!

I recently found these beautiful old images or rather paintings
that I knew you would love!
They each have a wonderful ethereal look to them.

So far we've had a pretty quiet summer around here.
We did have a family reunion last month and I snapped this photo
of our precious grandbabies Clara and Murray!
I just love these angels.

I've made a little bit of handmade soap for a few birthday parties...

And have even been getting back to printing on fabric!
There's definitely a trick to it, getting the paper to feed into the printer correctly
and avoiding paper jams but the results are always worth the work.
I created several lavender sachets for a local French restaurant that has
a sweet shop attached. She really liked them!

I also have a few that are listed in my Etsy store if you'd like to take a peek!
Filled with approximately 1 full cup of fresh lavender buds and adorned with
a little bundle of seam binding and a vintage button of course!

Another little tidbit of news from our farmhouse...
Our pair of diamond doves have a sweet baby!!!
Born just a few days ago.
We will see if it's sibling hatches too,
it was laid a few days after the first.
Neat, huh???

Thank you always for stopping by to see me!
I hope you are doing so very good ~

hugs and love,
Dawn

A few more finished...

I just had to make a few more of these sweet
flower pouches!!
One in the cream and tan toile again...
another in a pretty French document fabric and
the last one is a canvas with a crocheted lace overlay ~

Each one is lined with a heavy plastic bag so you can
place fresh greens and flowers in side and add WATER
to KEEP them fresh!!!

Just listed in my Etsy store if you'd like to take a peek ~

Wishing you a BEAUTIFUL fall weekend precious friends!!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Friends, fabric and the little bird girl ~

Look at this beautiful stack of fabrics that Marcie of The Rustic Victorian sent me.....they look so French to me ~ what an angel she is! She's become a little muse to me ~ I've just got to make something with these quick....lavender sachets? Thank you sweet friend, I promise I'll turn this fabric into something pretty!

I'm making a few more of these bird girl dresses for some sweet friends ~ I know, it's taking me way too long! I test the size first by printing the images onto regular paper ~ then I print them onto the fabric.

What is it about the fabric with beautiful images on it?? I just love they way they look on speckled muslin!

When I was outside today I noticed the peach tree in our yard has the sweetest pink buds on it. Our spring is soon approaching here in Georgia. I think that baby Clara will bring it with her, don't you? Emily is getting tired very easily and is about ready for this to happen. She's due March 20th....we are all so looking forward to meeting this precious little girl ~

A sweet image for you:

"I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by that circumstance that I should have been by any epaulet I could have worn."

HENRY DAVID THOREAU

Wishing you a wonderful Friday sweet friends ~

xxoo, Dawn
