Simple pleasures ~

I never tire of seeing these gorgeous paintings by
John William Waterhouse ~
I thought I would share them again with you.

I found a GREAT new magazine that I love, Prairie Style!
I think you'll love it too so I have to share a few peeks.
But if you see it at the store, pick it up and thumb through ~
see if you don't agree that it's a keeper!

I also wanted to share the simple little gathering of goodies
I found for my mom for Mother's Day!
She doesn't need much and if she needs it, she buys it.

But I do know what she loves.
Soft bedroom shoes...luxurious hand lotion...
and a clean, soft fragrance in a candle.
I also found the most amazing sounding recipe on Facebook
and since they don't have a computer, I typed it up for her.
She LOVES pecan pie so of course pecan pie muffins sound yummy!

Just a few simple pleasures for my mom
to let her know I'm thinking of her...and love her so ~

I have one last little slipcover and
one lone baby shoe pincushion
left in my Etsy shop.
Take a peek if you'd like ~
either one would make a perfect gift!

Wishing you a beautiful Tuesday sweet friends!!!

hugs and love,
Dawn

Roses, ticking and toile!

I'm just so proud of these babies!!!
I finally finished all four of the composition notebook slipcovers
I've been working on!
The slip in the front, the red vintage roses one, is already sold...
but the other three have just been listed in my Etsy store ~

The wonderful thing is that these pretties can slip off one notebook
and slip right onto a new one!!!

I kind of underestimated how long it would take me to make four though ~
The rolled roses were the thing. They take time to make, as do the fabric leaves...

But I'm so pleased with the outcome!

I hope you're having a beautiful weekend dear friends!!!!

hugs and love,
Dawn

Beautiful vintage roses...how can you go wrong?

Seems doing something creative lately has been just about like pulling teeth!!!
WHY and WHY???
I really love making stuff!
I don't know. I can't even explain it.

I have so many amazing ideas rushing through my mind
but actually making them happen has been,
well,
just like I said...
like pulling teeth!

Well, sound the trumpets and start the parade because
I've FINALLY finished a little something!!!

This is another fabric journal slipcover.
It fits beautifully over your standard composition notebook.
Just fold both covers completely back and slip it on!!!

Fill it up with prayers, notes, thoughts and when it's full?
Just slip the fabric cover off and slip it onto a brand new notebook!

I tried something new on this one too.
Fabric rosettes!!!
And I love them!
I watched a few YouTube videos and
figured I could wing it from there.
The only thing I changed is that I did NOT use a glue gun.
I used my favorite glue ever, Fabri-Tac
which is like a cold glue gun glue.

My offering (in my shop now)

Feels good to finally make something and it always
make me wonder,
why did it take so long????

You can find my new journal slipcover in my Etsy shop if you're interested....

Thank you so very much for visiting my blog.
I love my blog friends and treasure you so!

Happy Thursday angels,
hugs and love,
Dawn
