Shades of cream, ivory and tan...

We all love them, don't we?
Since I had a few requests for needle books, I had to make a few extras!
I figured I may as well and here are the finished goodies ~

I just love being able to utilize wonderful, old linens that have stains,
holes or tattered lace trim. They've been forgotten by others
but by giving them a new purpose,
they can become a cherished treasure again!!

When listing items like this, it can get confusing on who's buying what so
I came up with a little solution!
I made four little tags and gave them each a name ~
problem solved!!

They've all just been added to my Etsy shop!
UPDATE: All have been SOLD!!
Thank you so much for buying my handiwork!!!!

If you're already thinking of Christmas...
and stocking stuffers or gift baskets ~
Don't forget to check out my family's
gorgeous soap!!!

Now to work on a few more of those bottle brush trees....
they're so much fun to decorate!

Wishing you a beautiful Friday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Be prepared....it's big ol' humongo post!

A beautiful illustration of Peter Pan and Wendy.... for you ~

Love this sweet little piece of music ~ for you....

I have a soft spot in my heart for Winnie the Pooh ~
I decorated Noah's nursery with all things Classic Pooh.....

I've given you this sweet angel before ~
everyone loves that this little baby's shoes are different....
and look at the bracelets!!! PRECIOUS!

You may have noticed that I've added a new Etsy store to my sidebar ~
My family's soap biz has branched out to Etsy now!
Take a look if you have a minute :)

And I have to share with you a few more precious gifts I've received in the mail.
I wanted to teach at Paper Cowgirls so badly this year but it just didn't work out for me......
well, Lisa always being such a precious, thoughtful friend to me,
had to gather a few goodies to send to me from the event ~
kinda like a "wish you were here" thing.
But you just have to see these sweet treasures!!!!!

Trims, leather scraps (which I adore!) and look at the zinc letter "E" ~

Lisa found these amazing scrapbooking papers and tissues by Seven gypsies ~
they are SO on the pulse of what we all love!

Can you believe this gorgeous old box Lisa found at a yard sale???
What can I do with this....the wheels are turning!

And this gorgeous fringe that looks a little like the soft edges of bird feathers to me
is a wonderful gift from my sweet friend Beth of Gathering Dust!!!
I'm in LOVE with it and so want to hoard it Beth!!!!
Thank you very much sweet friend ~

Look at this beautiful old baby tin type from Jamie of Art-e-ology that Lisa found for me!

And I think Lisa found these slide looking treasures from Debbie of Talkin' Trash! So cool!!!!!
And I love the wooden pocket Lisa....you SO know me girl ~

We had a gorgeous sunset here the other evening
and I was able to get a quick photo to share with you...

Thank you so much for stopping by to see what I'm up to ~

Wishing you a wonderful Tuesday precious friends,

I just love tiny things!

This is a terrible pic...the lighting is bad...the color awful....
and it was taken with my cell phone BUT.....
I just had to share it with you!!!!
My granddaughter is so precious and loves animals SO much ~
just look at her kissing my little bunny statue!!!!

I also had to show you how tiny these little fairy shoes are.
I've sold one pair to a dear friend but just to give you an idea...here's a photo of the other pair:

I also had to show you how incredibly tiny the magnolia petal fairy shoe ended up being!!!!
It's now on its way to its wonderful owner but just to give you an idea of
how these things shrink.....just look:

Making things from organic materials is an incredible thing...I didn't realize the shrinkage factor but thank goodness I had it a few days as it dried and realized that I'd stuffed way too full with moss!!!
I took out about half of what I'd stuffed in and it worked out wonderfully.
What do they say, "live and learn"....well, I say "create and learn!"

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

All in a day's work ~

Can I toot my sweet family's horn?
I worked yesterday, helping out just a little....
I packaged a bunch of The Feathered Nest soap
to get it ready to ship to our customers ~

While I was at the shop, I couldn't believe all they were doing!
Here are a few pics:

Our soap is all poured by hand....by my family's hands!!!
These ALL have to be placed in clear cellophane bags and tied
with their own ribbon.....
I'm a proud mama and wife ~
and how in the world could we go wrong with
a precious little helper like Clara????

Our ShopFunSoap.com website is getting a makeover
but if you see something you would love to have,
just call us!!!! 678-432-2323 (retail OR wholesale)

I hope you have a GREAT Thursday dear friends ~
hugs and love,

Sometimes....my blog is simply a journal ~

You know, that's really what a blog is, right?
A web log....or blog....
a journal of your thoughts, interests and what you're up to!

My thoughts??
I so love my family and am very excited about our soap business!!!
As much as I love being home in the studio
I love also being creative for my family ~
Our orders have been pouring in and you KNOW I have
to help fill these orders and pitch in!!

My interests??
I love making things...my true interest is to always make beautiful things
that I love and that I think you may love too!!
The soap biz has channeled this desire in more ways than one ~
What gorgeous soap have I always wanted myself?
And what would be a unique and
beautiful way to package this soap??

So if I am MIA just a little bit in blogland just
know my days are kind of full right now ~

Wishing you a great Thursday my sweet friends!
hugs and love,
Dawn

So what's a girl to do?

When she's not made anything new to share....
or been anywhere interesting....
or found anything amazing to show????

She digs in her photo archives and shares a few oldies but goodies ~

I love, LOVE doll clothes.
Old doll clothes....the smaller the better....
the more primitive, even better!

So I had to make my own heirloom, "old" doll dress....
and age it appropriately :)

A few goodies I've scanned in the past for you!

So...you must know what I'm up to :)
We had such a successful Atlanta trade show that we are COVERED UP
with orders and are packaging them
as fast as our little fingers can!!!

OH, and Gina of Peacock Park Design has put up fresh photos
of her gorgeous showroom in Atlanta!!!

And we have another new blogger in our midst!!
Karen of Todolwen has just put up her very first post....
I'd love for you to stop by and welcome her when you can!!!!

I hope you are doing so wonderful sweet friends ~
Have a great Tuesday!!!
hugs and love,
Dawn
