To make you smile ~

I finally finished these sweet little snowmen ornaments that I started last week!
Each one has his very own personality...
I think these will be the last of the Christmas creations this year ~
I've so enjoyed making what I have though!
These angels are now in my Etsy shop and will ship out  ASAP Priority mail in the US ~

Is it funny that I had to follow my very own tutorial to make these sweeties?!

No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to escape the waves of sadness
that have swept over me this past weekend...
my thoughts and prayers are with each and every person affected
by the terrible tragedy that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Max Lucado posted a beautiful prayer on his blog I would love to share with you:

Wishing you a beautiful Monday dear friends,
hugs and love ~

A sweet trio ~

Whew!!! I finally finished these three sweeties ~
seems that when you have a deadline,
everything else in the world happens around here!!!

I do hope they are pleased with these ~
bid them farewell as they are off to never-never land!!!

They kinda look like they're whistling don't they? :)

Hope you have that kind of day....
the kind that makes you want to whistle and smile ~
Thank you always for stopping by and leaving a kind word,
you inspire me more than you'll ever know!!

Happy Wednesday,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Loving Christmas ~ past and present

I've been as busy as a bee over here!!!
Packaging up goodies and getting them all ready to ship to their new homes ~
that's a GOOD THING!!

But I still want to share some goodness with you....
maybe a few images you could use?

And a few photos of my precious friend Ann Perry's home from last year ~
She has such a way of arranging things!

Glimpses of a marathon snowman creating session from last year too!

And the magic of our Christmas tree....

So, are your Christmas plans coming together?
I guess what does get accomplished is a wonderful thing
and what doesn't?
Doesn't matter.
What really matters is that we know we are loved
by our Lord above
and that our loved ones are healthy, happy and with us ~

It's terribly cold here in Georgia!
The wind is awful and makes it feel even colder.
We're such wimps down here!!!
Have a great Thursday dear friends and thank you so very much
for always stopping by to see what I'm up to!

hugs and love,
Dawn

A few simple joys ~

Sunset through the living room window this past Friday afternoon....

Our precious granddaughter Clara
playing Saturday afternoon at Mimi and Papa's ~
Playing is a very a serious business you know....

Working on my little army of snowmen,
here they are waiting for their hats and collars ~

I don't know why I love tiny stuff so much....
but when I was working on the snowmen ornaments
I had to make a teeny tiny one!

A bad photo of my teeny snowman in progress...

My simple weekend in a nutshell :)

Noah is out of school this week for Thanksgiving!!
I love no schedule...but I DO have to get this house presentable
for my family next Saturday for our Thanksgiving dinner ~
we go to Dennis' family's dinner on Thursday.

I'm feeling so much better sweet friends....
and what a blessing!!!
We take our health for granted you know ~
it's so good to feel good!!

Have an amazing Monday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn
