Digging through my stash ~

I absolutely LOVE, love old doll clothes.
No, not those made overseas but those made by
mamas and grandmamas to please their little girls!!!

I have a teeny collection and thought I would go to it for inspiration
for a dress for my sweet art doll.

Guess what I found???
The tiniest pair of panties EVER!!! And they actually FIT
over the chubby belly that I gave my sweet girl dolly.

Then I went through all the doll dresses.
I wanted to find the perfect one that I could transform for her.
I found the most WONDERFUL antique pink one!!!
Now I have to try to make a dress for my small doll from this big dress...
but I think the color will be just beautiful on her!

Can you see it in your mind's eye? :)

Emily had a parent/teacher conference with Clara's kindergarten teacher and
brought our precious grandbabies by so she could go.
Murray and Clara BOTH flocked to Uncle Noah...and Murray just crashed!!!
Clara saw this and decided to lay down too!!
Uncle Noah?
He thinks he has the magic touch!!!!

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday my sweet, sweet friends!!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

For the love of all things small......

I've discovered a little something.
I just LOVE tiny things!!!
I mean it.
I've found so many wonderful small goodies....and love them so.
Do you love them too?
I posed this little porcelain doll below to look like she's so very sad
to be naked!!!! and a sweet angel Lynn wanted to make her a dress....

Of course I love my little Ellie.
We ALL do....and she's still tiny and three years old next month!

I love making tiny things...
like fairy shoes ~

How could you not love doll shoes.....
Thank you dear Rose for these!

Have you ever seen how tiny a hummingbird nest is???
I so love this Rose....

Doll dresses are a fav....I can't resist them when I'm out junkin'

These girls aren't that small but still wanted to be in this post :)

Tiny bunnies from paperclay....

And look, a sweet little porcelain doll with a new dress!!!!
Can you believe Lynn made this dress without even seeing my sweet little doll???

A tiny fairy I've made back in the day ~

The ultimate tiny treasures ~ buttons!

Small shoes that have a new life.....

Small altered composition books that I've called "thought books"
perfect to jot an idea down and keep in your purse.

How could we not love small things....
they are precious and so near and dear to our heart!!!

Wishing you a wonderful Thursday sweet friends,

A tired granny and doll clothes ~

A few images for you ~

So what have I been up to?

Ripping apart a few watches....and poking a hole in my thumb with the
tiniest screwdriver ever! It is so hard to get the backs off watches!

I have a fascination with doll clothes...simple, little slips and dresses ~
I found a pattern the other day at hob lob
(Simplicity patterns are only .99 this week!)
It is a reprint of an old doll clothes pattern too!
Well, I was really interested in the little slip that was in the pattern.

I ended up using flour sack fabric...

So, I whipped one up!!
I had to soak it in instant coffee to give it a little character,
sprinkle a few crushed grounds over top...
and now I have this precious little thing ~
What am I going to do with it?
I don't have a clue,
but isn't it precious?

 ~ A few giveaways I found ~

Shelley of Sweet Pea Home is having a giveaway HERE!!

Andrea of Vintage Bella Studio is having a giveaway too, just click HERE!!!

And I'd love to introduce you to a new blogger!!!
Leanne of Provoking Beauty has just started her blog
and if you have time, it would be so wonderful if
you'd pop over to welcome her!!!

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday precious friends ~

Speckled, Rusty and Crusty ~

A wonderful photograph I found for you
at Antique Griffin the other day ~

Who would have ever thought that I would love rusty things ~
crusty old windows ~
or even pistachio shells??

Yes. Pistachio shells!
Today a little mail love arrived....
Hand painted pistachio shells that look just like teeny tiny bird eggs!!!
Sweet Sandy of Quill Cottage painted these and gifted them to me.
Can you believe how gorgeous and realistic they look??
Thank you so much Miss Sandy ~ I love them so much!
Each one is a little piece of art...

The rusty? A few more goodies I found at Antique Griffin
while I was putting things in my space...
I was joking with the owner telling them they get us
coming and going....first rent, then buying goodies every time we come in!

Just something I want to show you.
A precious doll coat Deborah gave me....
cinched with lace and old watch cases ~
it's so beautiful to me.

And the crusty old window?
Here it is finished, ready to go to the antique mall ~
Simple, understated and hopefully it will look well with
several different styles of decorating....

Kasey of Lola B's is having a beautiful things

Mary of Green Paper

Whew! Sorry for the humongous post!!!
Sometimes I get carried away and
just want to share so much with you ~

I'm so excited...Friday I am getting to meet
Cheryl of Zany Mayd!!!
We are meeting at Scott's Antique Market
