Happy New Year dear friends!

Yes...I know. I know.

I've been gone a long, long time.

But I really do love this blog and SO pray

that I can connect with you all

much more here this new year.

The transition of moving was so easy, the move?

Not so much.

I hate to keep harping on that fact but it truly was a hard thing.

We are now settled in our sweet new home and now that Christmas is over

I feel like I can now concentrate on decorating AND

of course working on the new studio!!!

When you have the amount of STUFF that I have, because believe me

when you are an artist you really need the items, materials and supplies

to create what comes to your mind...it's a daunting task to organize it all.

So that is my goal for the new year!!

To get the new studio organized and ready to make beautiful things!

My muse is poking me and I am ready to create!!!

I pray you had a beautiful Christmas, we really did!

And now that it's the new year it's time for me to shake off the old

and begin with the new.

I watched our precious grandbabies while mom and dad had appointments.

Can you believe baby Tilly??? She will be a year old Jan. 25th!!!!

Nine year old big sister Clara is always willing to help! Tilly loves her like a second mama!

And brother Murray chills watching his very favorite show!

Then the princess Tilly sleeps!

We decorated for Christmas...

We celebrated our sweet grandson Owen's 2nd birthday too!!! Born on Christmas eve

and now his daddy and mama, David and Heather are expecting a baby girl in May!!!

We are all SO excited!!! Her name will be Lily...how beautiful is that??

Happy New Year precious friends,

So now I will get back to getting my new studio in order because
I am so ready to get back to creating!!!

I'm so loving this new chapter sweet friends!!!

This is the last artwork I created for a dear friend the end of this past September.

She was so pleased with it.

Thank you precious Mary for supporting my creativity dear friend.

I was closing up shop and preparing for a huge move to our new home.

And believe me.

IT HAS BEEN HUGE.

What has happened between then and now?

Caring for my precious grandbabies....

Look at baby Tilly, now 9 months old!!

REALLY?

Clara is 9 going on 10....Murray is now 6!!!

They love their baby sister so much!

Our middle son Brad sold our 2nd son David and his wife Heather their new home!!!

PLUS...they are expecting a new baby in May!!!!

Owen is going to be a big brother!!!

We are so loving that our family is growing.

And their new home is closer to us and is just beautiful!

My precious mother-in-law...Grandma Jackie had her 80th birthday party and

we all celebrated with her!!! Baby Tilly loves her as we all do!

Little Miss Ellie is so loving our new digs...

The gorgeous arrangement that sweet Tammy made for our holiday table this year...

These sweetie pies came to Trick or Treat in out new neighborhood too!!!

They had such a blast!

A precious overnight guest and a fairy house!

A few months ago I was at Hobby Lobby and ran across the most wonderful

driftwood birdhouse and it was on sale half off!

I looked at it and immediately knew it would be a great creative project for my

granddaughter Clara and I to transform into a fairy house!

So the right weekend presented itself and we planned for her to spend the night

at Mimi and Papa's and for us to have a creative time together.

Of course, I've gathered nature supplies over the years and had plenty of stash

to pull out for us to use to embellish the little house.

I had so many different types of moss, feathers, seed pods, acorn caps, sticks, straw, etc.

We pulled it ALL out!

And of course I had my favorite glue, Fabri-Tac (kind of like hot glue but cold and it dries so fast!)

Clara is now EIGHT years old and talked my head clean off during this project!

I loved it so much!!!!

She was adorable and told me, "Mimi, I think I may need to drink some milk...

my throat is hurting because I've talked so much!!"

HAHAHA!

Sweet, sweet girl. I pray we made a precious memory for her that evening.

We created the "shelves" from driftwood that were gifted to me from

my dear friend Dorthe in Denmark! How wonderful is that?

I told Clara how far away these little pieces had come that

we used on her little house.

It was Clara's idea to poke a speckled egg into the "chimney"!!! I love it!

The chimney is actually the cap from a large Burr Oak acorn!

Of course, the fairy house was hers to take home and remember our creative night together.

She was so proud of it!!!

We had such a sweet time together!

These truly are the good ol' days for sure ~

We slept in our newly remodeled guest room too!

We said our prayers together, sang Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
and fell fast asleep.

As I rolled over the next morning this was my view.

What a precious angel!

These truly ARE the good ol' days.

I love you my sweet Clara!

I can't believe it's already August!

Time flies dear friends...

I'm looking forward to fall as always.

In just the blink of an eye, January is gone!

And what a wonderful month it has been!

Our precious grandson Owen is growing like a little weed

so you know I have to share his sweet self with you.

Heather and Owen came down a week or so ago and spent the entire day

with my husband and I (Papa and Mimi)

plus we invited Emily, Clara and Murray over as well

so they could finally meet baby Owen.

It was a wonderful day!!!

Owen is so laid back and chill...I love it!

Clara held him, Murray held him and of course Papa, Emily and I

held him as well. It was such a sweet day!

Our second born David, Owen's daddy!!! I can't believe that grey in your beard honey...

He's a wonderful daddy!

Owen's precious mama Heather...we love you so much sweetie!

David and Heather had a wonderful party last weekend so each side of the family

could meet little Owen....every one had a turn at holding him.

Our son Brad even got to hold the little angel!!!

Finally at the end of his big party he woke up!!!

And lastly...our guest room (formerly Noah's bedroom :( .....) is coming along nicely!

I just need to give it a bit more attention but have been concentrating on cleaning up

and de-stashing of my studio. I figure I may as well have my own estate sale!!! HAHAHA!

And so it goes.

Another month has vanished.

But it's been a beautiful month here...
