Easily distracted & a big SALE!

I really am lately!
I've been torn between working on my house and
sprucing it up and creating artwork...
Oh well, I guess I should be happy I get ANYTHING
accomplished, right?

Noah's on Spring break this week and we're just hanging around here.
Nothing fancy planned, just relaxing and seeing what I can get done :)

Here's the sweet lady I bought in Texas to share with you:

I have a canvas started, YAY!
But that's it...I've not gone any further with it.

One reason is I'm considering using the back
(now that the front is all ready for something!)
I'll probably cover the back as well....

I have five needle books in the works too!

While my mom and dad were here for the reunion,
he replaced the faucet in our tiny master bathroom.
WELL,
while he had the pedestal sink out, I get the bright idea
to hang some embossed, paintable wallpaper I've had
for years...the wall was pretty damaged from removing
a sink cabinet and since I already had the paper, why not?

Of course, it's still not finished though...
the trim needs to be finished,
and of course painting.
Bye, bye apple green shiny junk ~
but what's so bad, I'm not too crazy about the blue I chose
about a year ago for this bath.
I wanted a very pale robin's egg blue and this is what
I ended up with...UGH!

My sweet Uncle Gene checks out my blog from time to time
and had been saving me these tins for two years!!!
He figured I could make something neat with them ~
how wonderful is THAT??

Bad photo below!
Mom and dad also brought me a bookcase they didn't need anymore
so I had to find a spot to cram it in, CRAM being the key word!
But I have so many books and mags I definitely need it....

And Brad painted our other bathroom the pretty cream color
that's in the rest of the house...and I added the fake silk slate blue
curtains that hang in front of the shower curtain liner.
They are so long they hang from the ceiling to the floor!
My dad hung the white shelf over the potty...now to accessorize it :)

It's so hard to get a good shot in these tiny bathrooms :)

So, do you see what I mean?
I'm running around here like a crazy chicken!

We'll just have to see what I get finished first...
are you like this?
I guess there's worse problems to have.

And the sale????
My Peat Pot Nest Baby kits have been marked down to almost
HALF PRICE!!!

Wishing you a wonderful day precious friends,

Treasures FOUND sweet friends!!!

They may be small...but that's what I LOVE!
After owning my own antiques store and hauling big pieces of furniture
in and out of the shop, I so enjoy that now the treasures I search for
are really quite small and lightweight!!

I was able to smash all of these goodies
into my little carry-on suitcase
that I took and brought home from Waxahachie!

Here we go....
first, look at this amazingly old ink pad I found!
I don't care what's inside,
and I know it's all dried up but just look at
the incredible GRAPHICS on the case!!!!

This is my haul from the Petticoats on the Prairie show...
and a few goodies from the antique shops in Waxahachie too!

Precious vintage ear bobs from my sweet friend Troy...

I bought these photos for you...I promise I will scan them in and give them to you soon!

And I just love this wonderful bookmark Lisa found for me!

I have a thing for teeny, tiny buttons...

And look at these wonderful velvet leaves Troy and Rod had....
I think I was foaming at the mouth
when I found these!

Plus they had a wonderful doll clothes pattern too!
Troy knew right away that I would love it and pulled it out
of a bin for me ~ how cool is that?

I have fallen in love with velvet boxes.
This is a small one...but oh-so-pretty ~

Here are my purchases from The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie ~
They were so kind to host our Paper Cowgirl classes....
The metal tags will be perfect embellishments for my artwork,
and just look at the vanilla velvet ribbon....

Gifts from my precious friend Lisa....she so knows what I love!

And last, but certainly not least,
look what I found at the W-mart in Waxahachie....
Blue ticking and TAN ticking too!!!!
I HAD to get a couple yards of each :)

Well, that's my haul sweet friends!
I do have one little bitty thing coming with my tools
that Lisa shipped home for me and
I'll be sure to show you as soon as the package arrives ~

And just a little reminder....
If you'd like to create your own little Peat Pot Baby,
my Peat Pot Baby Tutorial is now in my shop!!!
Just click HERE to purchase for only 5.00 ~

I love the hunt but what I love more is THE FIND!

Wishing you an AMAZING Thursday dear friends ~

What a blast!!!!

I so wish you ALL could have been there!!!
Just to be able to meet a fraction of my precious blog friends at
the Paper Cowgirl Retreat was just amazing....
I keep thinking about how much I loved finally seeing so many
dear friends IN PERSON!

I don't get out of this little country town much but am so glad that Lisa
talked me into finally doing something like this!
I wanted to share the photos I took while teaching ~
I just wish I would have taken a picture of each girl with their peat pot baby!
When you are a first timer, you don't realize what you might regret, you know?
You may have seen a few of these earlier but I just have to share:

Everyone working so hard on their project ~

Some of their finished babies!

It was so wonderful seeing how each girl added their own special touches
to their project!! They brought their own bags filled with trims and
things they loved ~ a sign of a true artist!!!

I have ten kits coming back from Texas this week too!
I was able to sell a few to girls that didn't take my class and
Lisa is sending the remainder back home to me.

If you would like first dibs....they include everything (including a tutorial) but
the paint for the eggs, matte gel medium and fabri tac glue.
They are 35.00 + 5.00 shipping and I'd be happy to mail you one!
Just email me at sewmanyroses (at) yahoo (dot) com
if you'd like to reserve one.
I'll eventually put them in my Etsy store ~

I've also added the tutorial to my tutorial shop if you'd like to make your own!!

I'll share a few more photos of my shopping and
the Petticoats on the Prairie show tomorrow ~

Wishing you a great Monday precious friends...
thank you so much for cheering me on!!!!

hugs and love,
Dawn
