I can't help myself . . .

I absolutely love jars!! A simple thing really. You toss them in the trash all the time but I'm always looking at them and thinking..."what could go inside of you and be even more beautiful?"
Emily has been saving Clara's baby food jars for me. I love them!!! Tiny, adorable just like my little grandbebe....but what to do with the them.....what to do???

Well, a quick Google search and this is what I found:

A gorgeous chandelier....found here ~

A little organization....found here ~

A few little gifties.....found here ~

A few lanterns....I don't know where I found these (I'm so sorry :)

Another chandy....found here ~

And a lot of these ideas can be used for other sized jars too.
Now....I need to decide which one I love most ~ maybe all of them!

A sweet giveaway for you:

Stefanie of Rose Petals and Rust is offering this precious necklace.....
don't you love it?
~Just click HERE to comment ~

Today I picked up the latest issue of Where Women Create ~
I can't wait to look at it!!!!
Jo let me know that they will be here
to shoot my studio sometime in March. YIKES!!!
I'd better get this dump cleaned up....
I try and try but it just. doesn't. last.

Something totally weird and off-the-wall....
this is my favorite lotion right now!!!
And I'm really not being paid for this at all ~ it's wonderful!

I hope your Thursday is absolutely amazing!!!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

How creative to use baby jars that way. Love the top one especially! I might have to try that lotion, my skin is very dry this year for some reason. I feel like I could sit in a tub of baby oil and just soak it all in!

There is nothing wrong with being a jar lady... the fact that they reflect the light, protect what is held within and make a perfect little haven for your tiny nesting creations...
I'll look forward to seeing your place of creativity in the upcoming publication.
I'm curious to see if a person that shares a birthday also shares an obsession with stuff. Wink!

The jar ideas are great...now I just have to find a mother of a small child to save them for me. As for the Where Women Create selection...what took them so long?! It will be great to see your space in the pages of one of my favorite magazines!

I have always loved baby jars for storing little bits of this & that. But, we've run out of babies here. They grow up so fast! Thanks for all the ideas on the jars. And the lotion... I hadn't tried it. But, with winter itch I should. Can't wait to see your studio in the magazine. Know it will be magical. And what an honor to have Jo at your nest. Hugs! Charlene

Dawn, another use for baby food jars:

A friend of my mother's, years ago, used to make many different flavors of homemade jams & jellies. She would fill baby food jars with them, put little fabric "caps" on them and insert 4 into a strawberry basket then top off the center with a bunch of dried flowers that matched the fabric's colors!

These little jelly jar baskets were adorable!
And her different jellies incorporating different berries and nuts were delicious! They were like nothing you could buy already canned.

Her name was "Nibby" and she's not been with us for many years now but she was a creative inspiration to me, was my first "mentor" into the world of antiques and collecting.

I'm like you...I dislike throwing away jars, especially if they are shaped prettily!

Hugs!
Diane

This issue of WWC is fantastic! I gobbled mine up from cover to cover.

I vote for the first jar idea, love that and would consider using it in an outdoor space.

Hope your day is filled with wonderful delights!

Hey Sweetie! Love the little jar ideas. So glad to hear from you. Hope the paint color works. It looks kinda gray in the can, but works on the wall! Hugs and good care to you, M.

I love jars too. I found this great cast iron chandalier at a thrift shop last summer for some of my little ones, and finally was hanging it, but one of the side pieces broke off. no glues have worked. Anyone know how to fix cast iron, or do I have to go find a welder??!!

I, also want to join, "I love jars, club"! The chandelier is amazing! (I went to school, with a girl whose name was Chandra Lear).

Wow, March, I can't wait; it will be beautiful and so you! This is why they chose you! I have a hard time finding this mag in my back yard. I have found it at Lowe's. If not, then I'm off to VA; I am near the border.
Thanks for sharing, I loved all the ideas..so versatile~

I have the same love of jars, can't bear to throw any out. I'm so glad you have a source for baby food jars once again.

I have several pictures saved for inspiration for when I eventually make outdoor lanterns with small mason jars. I really want to make some using stencils and glass etching paste too.

This may be a weird question since the charm necklace is not one you made. Do you know where to find the bead chain like on that necklace? Thanks! I love visiting you, love your free pictures, but don't always leave a comment.
