Pop-tarts reach a whole new level!!

So, it arrived!!!
My last piece of artwork that Stampington had...
It was published a few months ago ~
I always love see my artwork come home....
I've shown it to you before
but since I've not been in the studio very much lately,
why not again??

I opened up a Pop-Tart box on the side seam,
sprayed one side with spray adhesive then pressed it
adhesive side down onto the back of a piece of decorative paper...
Trimmed around all the nooks and crannies with an exact-o knife
then repeated the process for the other side ~
glue the side seam back together, then decorate!!

Wow, I condensed my article from the mag down to one paragraph :)

Yeah, I know it's a little over the top ~
It was mean to be a gift box where
the box is a gift itself!!

I had some pretty cream colored tissue that
I ran through my little shredder and then stuffed inside
to look like maybe there might be something good under there :)

I've recently won a few giveaways that I'd love to share with you...
Lisa of Mud Hound Studio was giving away bundles of her handmade ribbons
and fibers and I LOVE her work...
Well, I was one of the winners!!!

Such gorgeous goodies to create with!!!

Thank you so much sweet Lisa,
I love, LOVE it all!!

I also won a wonderful giveaway from Carol Mae of Prairie Dreams!!!
She sent me so many sweet gifts....handmade cards,
wonderful old music and an incredible old book I LOVE!
Plus TONS of other sweet goodies....

My very favorite gift of all??
Her beautiful artwork!!!
I just love having it in the studio to inspire me.....

Thank you so much dear Carol Mae...
It's ALL so wonderful!!!

Blog friends are the sweetest EVER!

Well, are you ready for Christmas??
Don't worry if your not ~
95% of us aren't either :)

Have a beautiful Thursday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Dearest Dawn,

Gosh how beautifully creative! Pop Tarts BOX how neat!

Hey girl! I've got my Dad's old (gosh over 60 years old) military trunk...it's fatigue green...which I love...it's metal and wood...another love of mine...and I'm thinking of ways to make it into a spectacular "GIRLY" redo...but still keeping the military green...it even has my dad's name and rank printed on it...so that's gotta stay...you've given me some real ideas here...

Once again, THANK YOU for igniting the creative spark that sometimes lays deep within my heart!

XO

Sandy

I love that it was previously a pop tart box! That makes it all the more special. Just gorgeous. I did not see this one first time around so glad you posted again. I'm hoping Santa will make sure I get Stampington subscriptions this year so I don't have to run to the book store to purchase! I have a little something submitted to Stampington too for the first time. Maybe Santa can help there...I need to call him. lol

Asher Sizemore and Little Jimmie!?!?!
I never thought I'd see them again. They used to live in our piano bench back in the day.

Waaaay back.

And I have to say, I LOVE that pop tart box. If only I could think of a reason to buy pop tarts...

Gorgeous box and other goodies !!! I love the recycling -- I do it too -- to find sheets of posterboard -- heavier than cardstock is impossible -- And mat board som, etimes too thick for my die cuts -- so I layer two cardstock sheets -- a pain - so for me the recyled stuff works well - HUgs today stay safe -- slick roads in our neck of the woods -- KAthy - ga ♥

Its good to see someone else use trash for art work supplies! I made a photo album last night with bits from the recycling bin.

Your poptart box is so elegant, no one would ever know it once held a breakfast product!
