How about a "perpetual" mantel???

I know we change our our mantels out most every season but
I thought...as much as I love all of the different artwork we've collected around here,
why not treat it as a perpetual mantel?
Ever changing...and switch it out as the mood strikes, you know??
But I have to admit,
I love this gathering on the mantel right now....

I recently lost our nativity scene we'd had for over ten years in the move
but remembered this precious old and very small nativity
I found awhile back...
it has a small, sweetness about it, don't you think?

I have so many wonderful, creative friends here in blogland!!
I would love to share a precious friend's artwork
and Etsy store with you today ~

Dorthe of Den Lille Lade is a precious soul
and her artwork always reflects that!!!\
Dorthe lives on the coast of the Baltic Sea in Denmark and
creates beautiful dolls and art with the driftwood
she finds there on the beach.....
A sampling of her work is below:

Dorthe makes the most wonderful fairies, angels and so many gorgeous creations!!!

I hope you have a GREAT Wednesday this December 8th ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

It Looks wonderful Dawn, I love to layer mirrors and prints! Makes it alot easier. I tend to change my prints out with the season. What you have now is perfect, and I love the little nativity.
And I'm fortunate to have one of Dorthe's beautiful driftwood creations. She's on my Christmas tree! Dorthe's so talented!

Debra

Her work is darling & adorable. She' a talent alright.
Dawn, we too like to keep our mantel "stocked"...but we have a very unsual one..that does not have a wall above it...it has a large open space leading into the dining room...so anything I put up there in the way of artwork would have to be on easles.
Your artwork is marvelous...so vintage and antique.
We keep our Christmas village up all year round on the top of our kitchen cabinets with a long rope lite behind them..and at night, it makes a wonderful "nite lite" for watching TV.

Your mantle display is so lovely, Dawn! I so wish I had a mantle. No fireplace in the place we are renting, but I would love to do the freestanding mantle thing if I can find a good price on a pretty old chippy one! I would be changing the display on it often, I'm sure. I do that with every part of my house! So fun! Thanks for sharing Dorthe's work with us!

Your mantle looks beautiful. I always manage to lose something important in a move. How does it happen?
Your friends dolls are so detailed, it's amazing.

I think the mantle looks quite lovely! I have a series of framed photos of my husband's ancestral Polish family on ours. Thanks for showing me these photos. I just told someone yesterday I wanted to find a fairy!
