I tend to create things with a simple design ~ but in this case the design fit the wording as well! One simple egg ~ to be cherished.
In this world today we get so swallowed up with all of the chaos and stress around us. If we would just slow down and cherish the small, simple things it helps to put everything into perspective.
The sweet smile on your child's face, a leaf floating to the ground in the breeze, the way your pup's head tilts when you talk, the words "thank you" or "I'm sorry"....these are so very simple but give us much joy and should be cherished ~ wishing you a wonderful Monday . . .

You are so right, Dawn. It's so easy to lose sight of the truly important things of life when we get too busy.
I LOVE the bird creation. It is so adorable!
Dear friend, so absolutely right,we are much too often forgetting to slow down, and enjoy.
I love your beautifull reminder, and the sweet birds are certainly one of the joyes here in Okt. And then my grandson (8)wisiting us this week allone.
Sweet hugs to you from Dorthe
Beautiful....and so true!
Dawn, and since our lives are made up of primarily simple things, simple tasks, ordinary people, what a shame if we don't appreciate them. You're so right.
There's something on my blog for you to print because you said you liked it so much. Welcome to anyone else who would like to have it also. :-)
It's the little "Dandelion Girl".
I just love this assemblage you made. It reminds me of the lines in the Bible about how even the sparrows of the field are taken care of - simple little ordinary birds....

Now that is SIMPLY adorable!

That is just as precious as can be !
You are right, it is the simple things in life that sometimes we forget to see ~

What a great sentiment and I've fallen in love with those birds.
I just love your creations!
The comments are so what i think also -- Oh how God 's wings enfolds us - healing the hurt - keeping us safe - being our shelter from the storms -- I truly am appreciating the simple things
that give joy this week - Kathy - GA
Sweet, simple, yet oh, so poignant!
To simplify is so much easier said than done...I just love your one little egg! Thanks for reminding us to slow down.
Very wise words dear friend and what a great visual reminder your art piece is to convey your message.
Dawn, this turned out beautifully. I so appreciate your ability to take what's on your heart and create a lovely visual reminder.
Lovely post! ~Mandy
This is perfect in it's simplicity. You have such an eye for creating beautiful things!
What a beautiful design . . .yes, the simple things are the most treasured. Now that I am a grandmom, I think back at my younger times, raising the children, working, and all the hoopla that goes with a busy life style. I don't cherish the dollar made, or the brownie points for the over time. I cherish the rock my son painted for me, the clay pot my daughter made - her first violin concert. Eating our Jesus cake on Christmas morn. I wish I would have been a grandma first. *smile* Thanks for sharing your thoughts today!
I LOVE it!
Lovely! I have started an assemblage similar to this one, but am waiting for the perfect item to finish it. I love the feeling bird nests evoke.
You are very talented!

Hi Dawn,
this picture is so adorable! Do you have this image on your blog that I may copy? This is a reminder to us to enjoy the notice the simple things in our lives.
Oh I so agree. Today I slowed down, walked outside into the warm sunshine, sat in the porch swing and enjoyed quiet conversation with my mom. It was so in the moment wonderful, simple and blessed.
