Some beautiful things for you to see ~

I thought while visiting with the family in the evenings this past weekend I would sit and go through yet another file of clippings that I had stowed away. These are the oldest that I own and I had been wanting to see what I would still love and what I would want to toss.

There were a lot of beautiful pages that I kept that were timeless, classic ideas that were just as beautiful today as they were ten or more years ago. You know the magazine they were from?? Yes, Victoria! But there were plenty from others but seems as those from Victoria still make me 'sigh'......

Here is a beautiful botanical image I scanned that I've been wanting to give you ~ I hope you can use it in your artwork in some way or just frame it!! Just right click to save to your computer ~

Well, we all know that "favorite things" was wonderful and this page was no exception! Look at all the bird goodies. You may have to click to enlarge this one ~

And lastly, look at this project ~ wouldn't these make beautiful Christmas gifts?? I love this idea ~

Well, Brent and Emily are back in Savannah safe and sound. The house is quiet and we all miss them so much. I can only hope that someday soon they will live closer to us so I can get my hands on our sweet grandbaby as often as I can! Oh, and Thursday morning is the ultrasound!!! I'm counting the days.....have a wonderful Monday!!

I know how excited you are!!! Stay busy and Thursday will be here soon. I didn't realize that we lived so close to each other! We probably hit many of the same antique and flea markets!

Love the botanical print! The Victoria pages reminded me... I've saved several years of the early editions, and I need to take some time each day to reread and enjoy. A cup of tea and a few minutes of Victoria... that will make a wonderful mid-morning break for me today!

I do hope the day comes soon, that your children and new grandbaby will live closer! My cousin is a long distance Grandma, and I know there are days she'd like to pack up the house, grab the husband & dogs, and move!

Blessings!

Such a pretty image and just in time for my next project. I'm making my mother a journal for her birthday. My sister's is already made and I posted about it a few days ago. Have you seen it? I'm dying to know what you'd say...be honest...I know my hand may habe been a little heavy on the distressing ink.

Awww, Dawn, I know that the Lord will make a way for you to be play a big role in your grandchild's life. I can't wait to see if I was experiencing a prophetic word or just nuts. LOL!

Beautiful images but I know the image you are waiting to see is of that wonderful little baby! How exciting! It only gets better after they get here. Have you decided on your grandmother name yet?

I'm glad you had a wonderful time with your family and I'll be anxious to hear from you if you have a grand son or daughter. Really it doesn't matter, the Lord only sends the perfect ones to us. you will make an awsome Grandmother. Think about that grandmother name, it's very important.

Your pictures are great. I think I have a lot of Victoria mags. here too. Maybe I should look.
Smiles,
Pat

I found out today that my son and his wife are having a little boy!
I am so happy for them.

Isn't it amazing how well old issues of Victoria magazine have held up- I think the pictures and ideas of 10 years ago are still wonderful today.

Hello Dear Dawn,

Oh how I know exactly how you feel!! I've been a tad outa sorts since I got home :c{ Then this afternoon while having a good rock in my favorite chair, I thought of my mother. She had the courage to set my feet on the path knowing that one day they might lead me far from home, yet knowing it was the right thing to do. It was not until today I realized how unselfish and loving that gift was. Made more so because of how very hard it is to do :c}

I've kept all the Victorias from the old days. I've sorted them out by month so I often grab the stack of whatever month we're in and strolled back through time. Oh! It's Nov 1--time to get out a "new" stack!
