Just how many photos can one post hold?? Let's see . . .

Our last day in Savannah was wonderful! Brent took David and Chase bass fishing and Dennis, Emily, Brad, Noah and myself went to downtown Savannah. We started at another gorgeous cemetery ~ some markers looked like beds to me!!

Now off to old downtown Savannah to see the amazing Paris Market & Brocante! It was WONDERFUL!!! I found a few small bags of baubles for artwork, and a B&W photo and a small linen sack for lavender buds ~ and the most wonderful thing?? I'm shopping and someone calls my name, and it's not my family!! It's Zori, a customer and blog reader of mine!! How cool is that? She was such a sweetheart and it was so very nice to meet you Zori ~ thank you again so much for buying my artwork!!! (click all photos to enlarge)

The next few photos are of a shop Emily just knew I would love, and she was right!!! I tried to give you an idea of what they have to offer. The name of the store is @Home - Vintage General ~ The owner is working on selling from her website now. You can visit her blog HERE.... It finally hit me that I've read about this wonderful store in several magazines!!!

The Lady and Sons Restaurant!

The house from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil ~

Our last stop was this breathtaking Catholic Church. I'm not Catholic but the beauty inside and out was remarkable ~

I hope you enjoyed my last day ~ and I still could have added more photos!!!

Have a wonderful Tuesday,

xxoo, Dawn

Man, oh man, what a lot of cool pics! Savannah is one of my favorite places--so much to see--(not a fan of the spiders in boxes, though! :)

inspiring and beautiful~as always :) Dawn, I'd like to share a blog with you, Bring the Rain, that I was made aware of this morning. It's an amazing, and sad, journey a woman is making with her young family. I would ask that you uplift her in prayers and leave a note every once in awhile to encourage her. Thanks, Dawn~love, Nancy

A lovely tour, Dawn. You can never take too many photos of Savannah. In my travel writing days, when I was there to write an article on the city, I used up an enormous amount of film. I especially loved the fretwork in the iron fences.

Oh thanks for the wonderful tour! Glad that you had such a fantastic time. I'm off to visit Emily at some point soon, too. I want to see what she has had to say about your time together.

Those grave markers are designed to look like beds. In an old tradition celebrating the "final resting places" I look for this type of grave when ever I tour cemetaries.

Strange isn't it.

Glad you enjoyed your trip.

We were in Savannah in February and I did two posts on it...so many pictures and still didn't get them all posted! That is my favorite place to visit (well maybe next to Cancun and hopefully I'll be adding Rome one day). We stayed at the Marshall House which was across from The Paris Market, I also did a little special feature on them and set my dining room table based on an inspiration I got at the fabulous store!

Didn't you love The Lady & Sons? Great food!

Glad you had such a terrific visit - I love Savannah too! The Paris Market looks exciting - I must make it there next time.

Lovely that the weather was fine and not too hot - like the image of you just relaxing and enjoying your family.

Thanks for all the great pics Dawn - you are so nice to share with us.
Hugs - Mary.

Wow! I felt like I was right there with you. Thanks for sharing your trip to Savannah. Such a beautiful southern city. Looks like you saw lots of eye candy. How cool was that to meet a felow blogger and customer out of the blue. It is a small world, huh.?

Wow, thanks so much for the beautiful pictures of Savannah. I haven't been there since I was 13. That's way too long. Your pictures, though, showed me that it hasn't changed downtown very much. It's still as beautiful as ever.
