One little fairy shoe found on the forest floor. There must be little fairy somewhere with one shoe on and one shoe off ~ maybe running too fast?
I finished it! I used vintage millinery flowers trimmed into the shape of little leaves. I placed and overlapped them one by one. This little shoe only measures approx. 3" long! I had the perfect jar to place it in. A very old black pepper jar measuring 4 3/4" tall. Sadly I don't have any more of these petals to complete another one ~ so this one's the only one. Soon to be in my Etsy store!
UPDATE: The fairy shoe has been purchased!! It will be traveling to Sweet Ulla of ULLABENULLA ~ What's so amazing is that as I was creating it, she was on my mind, just thinking how much she would love it!! Funny, huh? Some things are just meant to be . . .

You are just so creative Dawn! This little fairy shoe is precious.
Great forrest findings for sure! Your fairy would be like Cinderella - missing one shoe after the ball. Beautiful!

Dawn, Dawn, Dawn, It's just perfect - the little slipper, the jar - the concept! Martha, Vintage Trifles
Dawn, that is just precious!
It makes me think that you could do a cute series with a little field journal, with "evidence" of fairy sightings...like a sketch of the fairy shoe under a flowering bush, etc.
That is truly the Sweetest Ever! I have to show my Daughter, we have such a fondness for Fairies...
OH my Dawn!!! I ADORE IT!!! Can I buy it? When are you listing it??? I truly think it needs to live in my fairy tale house! DELIGHTFUL!!!
Oh how absolutely enchanting! And I'm sure the little fairy with only one shoe will be able to create another one for herself! ::Jill

So sweet. I visited our little book shop today and thought of you when I found this book -- http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Book-Flower-Fairies/dp/0723243441 -- not nearly as sweet as our vintage books but a nice read none the less.
Just had to come back for another peek... My check went in the mail today! I am so excited to be the honorary owner of this delightful treasure! FAIRY HUGS TO YOU MY DEAR!
Lucky girl Ulla! Oh Dawn this may be your best yet! You are amazing!
