A day at the beach ~

We started off at Publix for drinks and ice, filled the cooler and headed to the beaches on Tybee Island. What a gorgeous place! It was really crowded but we eventually made it to the beach and after the front came in last night it was so pleasant. The boys, Emily and Dennis had the most fun in the water. Me . . . I enjoyed the breeze, the scenery and watching my family!! I just couldn't believe the temperature though, not hot at all today!! Brent's cooking a wonderful meal for us tonight . . .  Hoping you're having a great holiday weekend, xxoo, Dawn

Oh you lucky girl! The beach..family..sunshine. Priceless. I once had the pleasure (is that the right word?!) of chaperoning 100 seventh graders on a three day field trip to Savannah and Tybee Island. For some reason, your trip to the area looks more relaxing than my former experience. Wink. Still...a beautiful destination filled with much charm.

A safe return home to you and your family...

Hi Dawn. Your vacation sounds like fun. I love being away with my family. That doesn't happen often now that they are all grown up, however we do have a family vacation planned for the first week in July.
Also I wanted to tell you that I rented the movie Ever After after reading about it on your blog. I now understand why you want to own it.......I LOVED it. It was a sweet delightful movie. Thanks for recommending it.

Dawn, What a wonderful family holiday! My "baby" (23y/o) is driving back to Oregon from LA with friends today. I just say a lot of prayers. I am lucky; he calls to let me know he is okay. He knows his mom well! I'll be emailing soon. THANK YOU for everything! xoxo Martha, Vintage Trifles
