Almost back in business ~

Photo taken by Emily last week...the field behind our little barn.

I have to tell you...
This last month I've heard my fair share of hoarder jokes
from my sweet family!

But you have to remember,
I had a big ol' converted two car garage I filled to the brim
with yummy treasures to create with and enjoy ~
So I have to admit it's been a bit of a challenge getting
this new studio arranged.

Here are a couple of "before" photos for you:

And a few "after" photos:
(There is still plenty of tweaking to be done though :)

I'm gettin' a little scared though...I'm STILL unpacking!
I need to hurry and finish though, I'm ready to make something :)

Happy Tuesday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Dearest Dawn, how beautifull it turned out-your writing desk, looks so very cosy there in the middle, and you surely used every corner ,to make this room, yours.I love the shelves filled with your wonderfull things, so pretty all.
Have a beautifull day, sweet friend.
Hugs, Dorthe

It's looking good, Dawn! You've got a nice clear surface, too, on the desk. You could make a little something quick there and then get back to unpacking. :)

I love that corner shot! It is really coming together. I can see a desk with a clean little work space. Enjoy making it your own.

Dawn, it's looking beautiful. I love all the tones of white and brown that you use together. Can I ask where you got your beautiful apron or did you make it? It's really pretty.

You give me hope that I can at least begin to do something with my hoardings.

The urge to create must be getting very strong after all this time away from a functioning studio. Can't wait to see what the first thing will be. Enjoy the organizing...as best as such a thing can be enjoyed.

Hi Dawn,

Your space is looking pretty wonderful, I think! I don't know how you did it - I well remember your previous space. But if anyone can do it, you can!

Dawn-- you must be dead on your feet! You've accomplished so much in just a very few short weeks!! It's amazing! Give yourself, and your wonderful family, credit. I envy you your new lifestyle on the "farm". Nothing like peaceful country quiet.

It's looking soooooooooooo pretty!!! But, I kind of can feel your panic with the horder stuff. I have multiple places beside my studio where I create & they are all starting to be FULL!!!! What does this say about us??? Enjoy the journey my dear. A studio is NEVER finished!!!! It's always a work in progress. HUGS! Charlene

I think it is looking beautiful! Even in the smaller space you have still managed to create artful displays. I, too, have a small art room and that is my sticking point. I don't like to have to move a lot of things or climb to get to my go-to supplies so storing them where they are handy is a trade-off for display space for the pretties. It looks like you are achieving a lovely balance.

Oh girl, it's coming along good! I recognize some of those treasures, like the dolls case on the shelf & that yummy apron that made the cover of the first Apronology! I was so proud of you for that. If you can't fit all of your stuff in that studio just bring it on to Texas. I'll find a space for it here. Lisa

It's beautiful Dawn! I know from experience how difficult it is to move into a smaller space. You've done a wonderful job!
take care, Karen

It looks great. Even when you show the before pictures, all of your pretties look so nice. It is nice to look at no matter what the circumstances! Have a great night!

You're getting there! I know it's overwhelming, but it really is starting to look like beautiful Dawn's home.

The farmhouse is so charming and I love following the journey with you,

So glad I stopped by to see what's new with you.

Hi Dawn,

Everything looks delightful and you must have some creative juice left after touching all your treasures. As for the jokes on hoarding, my family is truly digging me all the time about my stuff. I don't have a studio any longer, since we had to sell our home, so my boxes of art supplies remain in boxes. I have given some things away but of course I still have loads left. It's truly hard because I don't have anyone around whom shares a creative life like me. You put me more at ease but I know my family does not understand and will continue to bug me.

Can I ask, how did you organize your supplies?

Your lovelies are beautiful and I happy you shared.

Warmly, Karla
