These precious days ~

Sometimes we tend to rush through our days...
being so very busy.
There is always so much to do, to get accomplished!
As I grow older I realize how very precious
each and every day is.
They are flying by faster and faster!!!

A glimpse of our guest room...bedside.

Speaking of days rushing by,
I found these precious photos
of our sweet granddaughter Clara from two years ago.
My goodness she has grown up so very much!!!
These pics are from 2011 ~
but I knew you would love them.

My biggest accomplishment lately other than making soap???
This memory organizer for my sweet friend Cindy!
All created from vintage damask drapes...
It may look like you should shove shoes inside of it, but no.
The pockets are meant to hold treasures and precious goodies
that you love and want to see each and every day ~
I so hope you love it dear Cindy!!!

Thank you always for stopping by to see me!!!
Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday,
hugs and love,
Dawn

I've been thinking about how Jesus must have moved around in His day.
I cannot see Him racing from event to event, so I am trying to get a handle on that mind set.
I need to slow down so I can see His face, hear His direction, and follow the Spirit's lead, just like He did.

It is not easy....but I am feeling a lot more peaceful in the trying.

be blessed

It's a beauty and your friend is going to love it!

Clara has been adorable from day one. It certainly does prove that she's growing fast! They all do. Sniff.

Love you pictures of the praying children in your guestroom!! I have the same one of the little boy in the middle left that hung in my youngest son's room when he was a baby.....I just ran across it this morning and wondered if I should give it to him (no 35) or keep it a while longer. So many precious memories. The pictures of little Clara are so precious in the corn field...yes, that days go by so quickly, wish I could slow them down. Maybe just making more of an effort to quiet my mind would help me savor the days better. Love the new creation for your friend, so beautiful!! Blessings, Linda

Hello Dear Friend,

It seems like forever since I have had the opportunity to stop by for a visit! Love the photo of Clara, they grow so quickly, my Memphys is in middle school this year (5th grade) and Miller heads to school next year!

I sure have missed being on the computer & blogging everyday, glad the summer is over & fall is upon us... I have just completed 2 Estate & Moving sales in the past month and have tons of stuff to go thru & list (no time for creating) I also wanted to let you know that Jenny's (my niece from Georgia) hubby has just been diagnosed with a very rare cancer,
Please keep them in your Prayers...

I sure hope to be back soon,
Miss you

Your memory organizer is a fun idea! I've not seen before. It's lovely!

I understand how you feel about time flying by. My oldest granddaughter just celebrated her 17th birthday and it seems as if she was born yesterday. But I try to focus on living in the moment and enjoying each one. Have a wonderful week!

What precious pics of Clara--how sweet she looks proudly admiring her ear of corn.: )

Your memory organizer is beautiful... Cindy will truly love it!

I love your peaceful guest room, Dawn I have the one of the little girl praying. It hung in the house I grew up in for as long as I can remember, and I grabbed it when we were cleaning out the house this past summer. (I also grabbed two Bessie Pease Gutmann prints of infants that hung in the same room; they had belonged to my grandmother, presumably acquired when my mom and aunt were young.)

Love those sweet pictures Dawn. Yes, the days, months and years are moving faster than I can keep up,and the faster they go,the faster I find people trying to run and catch them...not me...I want to take each day slow and easy...don't want to miss a thing...my grandchildren are growing up fast right before my eyes...quicker than I can blink...just like the old song... Where are you going my little one :) Blessings sweet friend
