Romantic & rustic....I love them both!

I found the new issue of Romantic Homes the other day when I was out and about....and it's a great one!! I've shown a few of my favorite pages ~ beautiful, romantic inspiration!!

My Country Living magazine came in the mail this week also and it's a great issue as well!! I've featured a few pages I love in it too.

Are you like me? I love romantic, elegant and classic things but also love rustic, worn, peeling, rugged and aged things too ~ so what's one to do?? Combine them!! I do all around my home ~ drop cloth curtains hang over an elegant buffet....a chandelier with crystals hangs over our farmhouse style dining table are just a few examples of combining these two styles.

You'll just love these two issues!! Wishing you a wonderful Saturday sweet friends ~

xxoo, Dawn

Dawn, I do too! Love romantic and rustic both. My taste is so eclectic I could probably never choose any one particular style for my home. I like to call it "Hodge Podge Lodge".
:-)
Love your pretty music!

Definitely love the combination of those two. Combines our love for girly with something that men can like too.

Now see, you are so darling. I was quite disappointed in this issue of Country Living. I'm going to be explaining why early next week. Now I'm looking at the pretty photos and wondering what had my knickers in a knot. ;D

So glad to see a post from you as after hearing all those dreadful weather reports, I worried about everyone south of Boston.

Wow, Dawn you make me want to jump out of this chair right now and head to Barnes and Noble-lol.

Are they even open today? I can't wait to get my hands on these.

Nice preview of the RH pages. They're delicious and that's one of my favorite magazines too.

Happy Easter!

I loved both issues too! The two styles do feel like they conflict, but I love both. I love all white themes, but then I love lots of color. What's a girl going to do?

I have the Country Living and it looks good but I may just have to go and buy Romantic Homes after seeing the preview from you. I, too, like both styles and like your ideas of using them together. Thanks Dawn; I love your blog.

Dawn ~ I love the mix of primitive, humble things with items of great elegance - it is so soothing to me somehow. I loved the feed sack things in the newest issue of Country Living too.... right up my alley!
