The sweet, simple things ~

Our last chicken has finally started laying eggs!
I've been waiting patiently as I knew they would be AMAZING!!!!
Just look at the color of her eggs.....
HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A MORE BEAUTIFUL COLOR??!!
I've been seriously considering taking one to
Lowes or Home Depot to have it color matched for paint.
Am I crazy? The color is the softest, palest, blue green....

I love this tiny box. It was a gift and is filled with tiny treasures.....
Simple little things like this make me smile ~

What's so amazing is my sweet friend Gail
has the exact same box with tiny vintage cards inside....
for sale in her Etsy shop!!!

While I'm loading photos onto my computer, I look over and right beside me,
nestled in a basket in my studio, is my precious Thelma ~
cozy and happy, I had to smile.

Then she realizes she's been spotted!

Then she sneaks out to visit me for a minute!

Another thing making me smile today is that I finished my sachets!!
They are are all sold and I'm so very thankful....

Take time to notice the simple things...the small, sweet things ~
they will always make you smile!!!

Wishing you a great Friday my dear friends ~
hugs and love to you,
Dawn

Wonderful color...you've got a really good idea for taking it along for a match. The sachets are wonderful...if only I had a cc to work with anymore. (Those days are done!)

Dawn,

No need to take the egg to have it matched. Sherwin Williams has a beautiful color called Sea Salt that matches it perfectly. I just painted my entryway with that color. Soft pale blue/grey.

Oh, Dawn, the sachets are stunning! And what could be nicer than a furry friend keeping you company in the studio! And that egg color.....!!!
Beautiful!

Hi Dawn,
This post is more confirmation today. I'm reading "One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp - and last night my chapter said something about finding God when we live fully in the present, noticing simple blessings and giving thanks for them. I love it, and I love your post today!

Dawn, That is a lovely egg color. You could be another Martha Stewart, didn't she make egg colors at one time? We get our inspiration in all kinds of things!
Your sweet Thelma is adorable, and I'm also loving your lavender sachets. The little pearl on the clock face! I love the little things too.
Have a great weekend...
Hugs, Sherry

How sweet that your kitty is sneaking in some alone time with her dear Dawn. Perhaps she knows she will have to share that time, soon. Linda S. in NE

Oh Dawn, Thelma is such a cutie!!! I could just grab and hug her.
All of your sachets turn out so gorgeous. It's no wonder that they are sold already.
That's a really lovely egg color. I wish they would sell such eggs in the grocery stores.
Have a wonderful Tuesday, sweetie!
Hugs to you,
Julia
