Subtle changes around the farmhouse ~

Our sweet son David moved in with this brother Brad this past weekend....
I know he was SO ready to move and get back out on his own ~
So now I've started invading the guest room which just HAPPENS
to open right into my studio :)

I've been moving things around....trying to spread the studio love into the guest bedroom!

My David is a musician and is incredibly talented!!!
He still has to pick up a few guitars....

I've washed the linens but plan on adding tons more pillows and
goodness to this bed ~

I'm adding everything pink roses and beautiful to this room.
It's my "come over sweet Clara" spot :)
After five sons, I'm loving being able to decorate a vintage girly room ~
I have tons of pretty things to hang on the walls too!

See the precious print below?
I want to hang it over the bed!

Yes....I know....I have too many books!

A view from the guest room into my studio ~ still a mess, but I'm working on it!

I wasn't really ready to show you pics but I just couldn't stand it!
Everything's still in limbo and not quite finished
but I'm sure you get the idea of what I'm up to ~

By-the-way...how in the world did it get to be September 20th???!!!
Time is whizzing by and slapping me in the face!

Have a wonderful Tuesday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Well, it all looks good to me. All that linen makes me weak in the knees. Your moving around things must feel so good. More space is always great.

How fun to be able to spread out all your lovelies and whimsies. That sweet picture you're hanging over the bed was hanging on the wall in the B&B we stayed in this weekend in Lancaster. You'll be seeing it featured in one of my upcoming posts, too!

Joy!

It'll be a dreamy spot for Clara. I won't be surprised when she grows up to be just like you. ☺

Say, you might benefit from the virtual room planner I spoke of in my post today. Just a thought.

I just wanted you to know that since I discovered your "Feathered Nest," I feel like I am visiting with a good friend every day. Your kindly, gracious demeanor is an inspiration. It's like sitting on a veranda with something cold and minty.

LOL! Too funny, Dawn! Maybe those things in your studio are multiplying overnight! ;-)

Thanks for the Pyrex tips yesterday! We went out today and replaced all our Pyrex with Anchor Hocking!

It's turning into a crafty, gorgeous en suite! Nice that the room connects to your studio. It's all dreamy!

Thanks for setting up your Flickr photostream for all of us, Dawn! So generous of you.

Take care,

This opportunity for expansion is SO wonderful and exciting, Dawn. I'm super happy for you. I just love visiting your studio through your blog so keep us posted... p.s. you do NOT have too many books, my friend :)

That print reminds me so much of a photo of my Mom when she was a little girl. She had blonde curls and a dress very like that one. And now I have tears in my eyes because she's not at all well.

Anyway, I think that print would be beautiful above the bed.

Dawn, is there anything on the print that shows who the artist was? I'd love to find a copy of it for my home. If you can find the name, could you let me know? I'll do a search. Thanks so much. It's touched my heart as I try to cope with the disappearance of the mother I knew as she slowly slips away from us.

Don't feel too badly Mz Dawn, time may have slapped you in the face but that was after it ran me over!

Everything looks wonderful and a proper studio is ALWAYS in revision ;)

Gotta run - "she" might catch me at the computer when I am really supposed to be pricing inventory MOL

Purrs!

Love your space! My attention went immediately to the bookshelves. I've been searching for bookshelves that will actually hold books without sagging for two years. Are yours custom made or did you purchase them retail? I would love to know! :)

Dawn I could just hide away in that awesome craft room of yours and spend days just looking at all the pretty linens and things you have there. Oh that bed is so pretty and the hope chest at the foot of the bed too! Love the cute baby things hanging on the rack too.
