Something wonderful happened the other day ~
remember when Emily took photos around our house?
She featured all kinds of things we have collected over the years
and TWO of the wonderful treasures we've found are our
Devon Rex cats, Chester and Thelma!
Well, a sweet reader soon contacted me
needing a new home for her Devon Rex cat!!!
Her name is Minnie and I fell in love.....
And to make a long story short, she will be joining our family next week!!!!
I think Thelma and Chester will love her ~
after just a little period of adjustment....
they will love her.
Here she is, isn't she beautiful?
She will be flying from Michigan to Georgia ~ precious cargo, don't you think?
Here's our Thelma....she will be Minnie's little sister!
I snatched a few more of Emily's pics around the farmhouse...
since all I've been doing around here is grinning :)
Our magnolias:
A tree around the farmhouse...
Shots of our old barn....
Our bed...messed up a bit ~ I slipped a pillow out for sweet Clara to nap on :)
A tree face ~
A peek at the end of the house, our bedroom, through the overgrown shrub ~
Wonderful old jars Brent found in the barn for me!
A sweet silhouette of Clara watching our chickens out the back door....
she loves animals so ~
Thank you so much for your kind words about my grinning photo....
You so lift me up!!!
Have a very happy Wednesday sweet friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

Congrats Dawn on the new addition to the family! And to take her in from so far away! Cheers to you! And by the way, LOVE your new profile picture! You're Lovely!!!
Cheers!!!
Ahhh Dawn how lucky are you to get another cat and how lucky is the cat! I am sure all will work out wonderfully.
Great cat tales ahead, I am sure! Keep us informed on the "period of adjustment" - I am always curious about that. Our two, Copperfield and Emma are quite happy being king and queen - and would not appreciate any new knaves in their palace. Hope it works out!
Joy!
Kathy
Love love love the old barn. We take pictures of any old barn when we travel......
I love cats but am SO VERY allergic! I a sure that Minnie will fit right in and be one of the family in no time!
Sending autumn blessings......
It always amazes me how Blogdom works so beautifully. May your new kitty fit right in and do exceedingly well in her Georgia home. Love the photos that Emily has been taking. She could sell them! Clara peeking out the door...such a precious one.
Minnie is lovely, what a nice addition to your family. The pictures of your home are beautiful. They really bring across the warmth and hominess of your space.
Dearest Dawn- oh the last photo is fantastic- I love the light change from front to back- and that it looks like Clare stands far,far away-
and your new member looks beautiful, I hope they will welcome her without too many problems :)
And sweet dear, the barn and tree -what beautiful surroundings, you live in-

Your Devons are darling! The new addition can only add to the joy and love in your home. I have to Cornish rex, and I can't imagine life without them.
I love that you are taking in a new kitty! We have two shelter cats. One we have had for 18 years and the other for two after one that we had had for 18 years had to be put to sleep. :( We miss him but our new guy is such a love!
Blessings to you and your new addition,
Karen
