There's nothing like Mother Nature
to bring everything around here to
a screeching halt!
I'm sure you know by now that Georgians
aren't the best in maneuvering around in snowy, icy weather ~
So instead of getting out in this yucky weather
we've started a nice fire in the fireplace....
thank goodness it works wonderfully in this ol' house!
I'm going to cuddle up with a few magazines
I've not read yet, do a little laundry and pray
that the ice doesn't make the power go out ~
I hope you're staying cozy and warm!
Please forgive me if I've not been to visit you lately....
maybe I can catch up a little on my blog hopping too!!
Have a wonderful Monday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

The good thing about snow is that you don't have to feel guilty for kicking back :-)

That sounds like a plan! We don't get snow days in Florida, only hurricane days and those never seem to come with power! lol Stay safe and warm.
That is exactly what we have been doing all day ~ We have had
a fire in the fireplace, chili in the crock pot and have just been
staying warm ~
North Texas comes to a hault too in weather like this ~
We had to buckle down for our 1 inch of snow :)

Texans aren't either...thank goodness our snow melted...but we may have ice in the morning...
Stay home and warm, Dawn! I've read a few posts about this ice you all are getting; looks like it's hitting a few states down south.
Hi Dawn and all bloggers - I thought of you when I saw this site today - thought you might enjoy it seeing as how you love old things like me also - this guy has gone back in time in his basement - it's just wonderful. copy and paste in your browser:

Be warm...be safe...relax...take advantage of some down time.
God knows what we need..when we need it! Stay warm and enjoy the reading!

Sweet Up-North Mornings...
I am thinking about going a lot white in my living room and bedroom...... Seems that white is so in.......
Snow here...... it is a kick back day....
Sweet Dawn, I hope your sunday was cosy, and warm- I can see your great fire place helped a lot.
Now there is 2 more dayes to go, before the show,-so I guess you are pretty bussy, and I hope for you, the weather will change a bit, so it will be possibly to drive.
Take care dearest friend-and have a wonderfull monday.
Love and hugs from Dorthe
The fire looks wonderful! I know you need to be working on your soap display but it will just have to wait! Enjoy the down time, that is exactly what I am doing! The sleet hitting my window this morning woke me up! Have a blessed and restful day! HUGS!
Sometimes these days are unexpected gifts...it looks as if you know how to enjoy them. I thought of you immediately when I saw that weather map last night. It was a big, ugly weather map. Already, Lorrie is fretting about my corner getting it and suggesting that I not blame her countrymen as she tells me it is from the North Pole. There! Doesn't that all make it seem better? Stay cozy...
Dawn, I will have to say I think you needed all of this snow so that you could slow down some! LOL We have 4-5 inches here and it is still coming down. Nothing like snow and ice to stop Georgia in its tracks.
Hi Dawn
I have been doing a little catching up lately also, but I do miss hearing from you. I know life gets busy... goodness knows I am not the one to talk. Would love to see more of that old house of yours :)
Wishing you a most blessed new year filled with love and new creations
Rebecca
Dawn,
We are covered under a six inch blanket of snow this morning too. I hope to putter around and get my chores done and then play a little in the studio. I hope this weather did not affect the market show for your soaps! I have that same unread issue, maybe I can get to that too. Have a wonderful cozy day!
All that wonderful white is heading my way! I am going to enjoy it just like you are!
We have a had an unusually snowy, icy season here in the Pacific Northwest. I've been catching up on my reading too and when the power goes out, on my handwork! Glad your fireplace works!
xo, Karen
