Just what is a "creative" day?

If you've followed my blog for any length of time
you'd know that I absolutely love making things...
and not always the same thing either ~

I tend to think that sitting in the studio is
the only way to truly be creative but
I'm trying so hard to change that way of thinking.

We are creative in SO many different ways
throughout the day ~ aren't we?

Until I can get back into my studio
to make art,
just seeing my supplies
brings a smile to my face!!
Wonderful old trinkets, treasures and gathered goods
are simply beautiful art all on their own ~

OH, and why am I away from my desk???

The Atlanta Trade Show was a COMPLETE SUCCESS!!!!!!
We are all so excited and VERY BUSY!!!
Thank you Lord!

Have a beautiful Wednesday my sweet friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

Oh, as soon as you said "creative day" Dawn, I got the image in my head of my perfect "creative day"! Nowhere to be, a coffee or hot chocolate {in the Winter anyway}, supplies on hand, music in the CD player and off into my own little world. I did get a couple of those with snow days off from the day job, but they are few and far between otherwise.

Congrats on your great success!

Dawn,
I'm so very happy that your show was a success! What fun! I think you have some of the most lovely supplies of any I've seen, I'd love to go into your studio just to oooh & aaah....:).

Oh sweetie! Congrats on your show success!!!! It's up, up and away from here! Just please don't be soooo busy that you stay away from the computer to long... we would miss you!!!

I too get all giddy over supplies. I think it is because I just haven't found a great source for the kind of beauties you show here. So when I DO find them or see them in picks I get all excited!! I'm finally making time once a week to really be in the studio and play again. It's wonderful, and is my favorite day of the week.

xo,
Karen

Dawn,

Being creative is not limited to making art and I think you are a perfect example of artful living. Your creative touch is evident in everything you do from the way you love your family, to decorating your home, making your art, or sharing on your blog. Never mind the mindset, you have it down pat!

Congrats on the success of the market!!! This is so exciting!

Lovely photos and supplies! I think it's a good thing to keep your creating in your studio. I have my entire house a mess from my crafting. Now I have to take time off from creating to get it all sorted out and put away. Thanks for sharing.

So glad the show went well for you! It would be my dream to have products there, but I know how your son did a lot of selling, and your products were fabulous!

I love making little vignettes like you have done above, they are so inspiring and fun to remember what all is tucked away for art making one day!

Dawn, Your supplies just feed my creative spirit and my love for everything vintage! I'm so pleased that your show was a big success and you deserve it! I have to keep re -working my space as I have so many interests and now I'm setting up space #3 as I don't really have a whole room, just nooks and crannies around the house as one adult child came back home, so that being said I just keep adjusting and re-adjusting. This is a real journey for me but eventually I will arrive. My best for your continued success, Hugs Marilou
