Life...it's all about perspective ~

Don't you think??
It's all how you look a things...
glass half empty, glass half full?

Lately, I've been guilty of looking
at the half empty side of things but then
I always, always have to stop myself!!!
Let's take a look at the half FULL glass...OK?

I am an eternal optimist and please Lord, let me remain so!
Even with mid-life hormone craziness,
life struggles,
or whatever...
I always, always want to be an optimist!!!
This baby's face says it all...how I've been feeling lately ~

I want you to know too...
you are a such a BIG part of my life ~
my dear Angel Friends.
I love my family with all that I have
but you...
YOU so GET ME!
You know why I love collecting crazy stuff,
you love my crazy stuff,
and you love what I make with it.
Thank you so much for that!!

I am so very thankful for my precious babies and grandbabies...
what a precious gift from Heaven above.
Glass = overflowing

I found this great photo of Chase, our fourth son ~ now 21 years old,
good Lord, how did that time fly by so fast???

And look at him at a mere 2 years old...
blessed I am.

And our oldest Brent holding his daughter, Clara as a newborn...
glass = OVERFLOWING

And just look at how Clara's mama is gazing at her ~

I have many more family photos I could share but with five beautiful sons,
I'm afraid my post would be WAAAAY too long ~

We can look at what we don't have...
what we think we deserve...
or what we think we need,
but truly
it's all right here.
Right in front of us.
And our glass is overflowing...

Wishing you a beautiful Tuesday my precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Dawn you are so very RIGHT.

Love your outlook - in spite of the face you may be feeling a little like that baby in the antique photo.....

You have many blessings and it is always good to keep counting them!

Have a wonderful week.

I am pretty sure all of us feel this way at one time or another. You are such a wonderful lady with a kind spirit. I imagine others look at our lives, and wish they could have what we have. Thank you for the thoughtful post. Have a peaceful evening!

Such a nice looking group of boys!! With the guys grown and mostly gone - your life certainly has slowed down a bit!
love your picture of the baby with the huge bonnet!! I love old photos!!
I'll be honest with you - I never understood this half full glass or half empty glass. They're both the same!! I never want half of anything--- I was glad to see that you don't either!! I want all my glass full to the brim and running over!!

Counting our blessings is a sure fire way to chase away the blues and I think you are doing wonderfully in the blessings area, what a great family!

Sending a whispered prayer your way for special blessings to brighten your day.

Aw, Dawn. You are so right. I am an optimist, too, but this morning shuffling our little SweetCheeks off to school for the first time I was feeling kind of pitiful...and thinking how much I would miss being just able to pick her up and spend a day with her. Then, I thought of all the kids that can't go to school because they are ill, or their parents don't think education is a priority (not talking about home schoolers-talking about parents that don't do ANY teaching). There are kids that fall between the cracks and just kind of disappear from school. It made me thankful and grateful and even as I shed a few tears (behind my sun glasses). And, God did smile on me a bit today- There is only a half-day of school for the kindergartners today so I get to pick her up. Blessings, Dawn. We all have so much to be thankful for- GREAT post- xo Diana

Dearest Dawn
I know about those half empty glasses- I think we all do,-but you are so right angel friend, about starting filling that glass, at once ...and see all our blessings,-
I see some of the most importent ones here, in your post,- your sweet family- and your beautiful art-
I know you will soon feel on top again- and blessed with joy and happines.
Warm hugs, and loving smiles to you precious friend.

Oh, dear Dawn, of course you are right, but sometimes it can be very difficult to look beyond the present... at our confusion, frustration, malaise, numbness, pain... whatever it is that has us feeling "off-center". But I think that these periods are necessary; sometimes we need to step back and take stock of what is really important in our lives--which can be the stimulus for either making important changes in our lives or simply being at peace with our lives just as they are.

Many (((hugs))) to you, sweet one (and to you, too, Diana).

xoxo
