As our family was growing, I was always so worried
that the older boys would feel displaced or have their feelings hurt
when we brought a new baby home for the first time.
Having a new baby in the house is always demanding to a mama,
and it's such a balance to include the older siblings so they don't feel left out.
I tried so hard the other evening when we visited with Brent and Emily
to include Clara in all that we did...
she already knows what a great helper she is!
I decided to make her a special gift...
a "you are a wonderful big sister" and
"such a wonderful helper" gift!
"such a wonderful helper" gift!
The other day when we went to JoAnn's I bought the softest, cuddliest fabric
I had ever felt! I think it was even called cuddle something ~
I will tell you this, it was messy to work with but the end result is
the most plush, cozy bunny I've ever made!!!
They have to take little Murray to the doctor today for a check-up
and will swing by
so I can gift Clara her bunny gift....
Thank you all for sharing my joy...
and our growing family!!!
We are truly blessed.
I hope you have a GREAT Friday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

She'll love him! How darling he is and I can tell how soft that fabric is from here. What a special Grandma you are. By the way, what does Clara call you? Do I know and have forgotten? Right, like you know what I've forgotten. Ha!
That's so sweet! Clara will love her special bunny! The baby's beautiful!
I always try to remember to tuck a little gift for 'big brother' or 'big sister' when I take a baby gift. Can't remember who taught me that, but it was a lovely idea and always seems appreciated.
It is the sweetest bunny dear Dawn.
I love his blue eyes and cute nose, and the material, looks even from here so lovely soft and cuddly-
your precious Clara will just LOVE him, and understand how precious she is for you, sweetie.
I would lobe to see her face when she gets him :-)
Wishing you a wonderful friday, and weekend my friend.
Love and hugs,Dorthe
Dawn Clara's little bunny is just precious!! I bet she will just love snuggling with it :)
That is adorable, Dawn! What a lovely gift for Clara. I can see how soft it must be just from the pictures.
Congratulations on the new sweet baby, he looks so much like Clara. That was so sweet and thoughtful of you to make that wonderful bunny for Clara. You are so it's important to make the siblings feel included. When my youngest daughter was born my oldest told my mom her life was ruined, it made me feel terrible, but in hindsight the drama of the statement is a little funny coming from a 4 year old LOL.
Clara is very special to have you as her Grandma. What a lovely gesture. Blessings to your growing family...
Clara's bunny is adorable... how soft and huggable it looks! And Clara will *love* that it came from Mimi, just as Murray's brown bunny did!
xoxo
