Simple beauty always makes you smile ~

Hey sweeties!!
Can you tell I'm EXCITED!
Thank you again for all of the farmhouse love ~
Dennis and I both are just about to bust to live in this old beauty....
I'm still working on the interior and here is our first beautiful addition:

Look at this five dollar chandelier that Dennis found at a yard sale and brought home
to me several years ago as a gift!!!
What's so nuts is we needed a medallion
to cover up a little missing ceiling paint, right?
It cost us 28.00!!!!!

Oh well, what I do is combine the prices and consider the beauty ~
STILL a wonderful bargain for the reward, RIGHT?

I've added this post to Joy of Savvy City Farmer's
Show Me Your Chandy post!!!

I want to join in sweet Debra's inspiration Friday!!!
So what has inspired me?
SO, SO MANY THINGS!!!
But first, I will share with you this beautiful book
by Better Home and Gardens

Romantic Style

The book so personifies my style I could scream....
So much elegance, so much ageless beauty ~
Please visit Debra of Common Ground to see MORE of Inspiration Friday!!!

Have an amazing weekend dear friends,
I'll be working my booty off!!!!!
(yeah, I wish that thing would go away)

hugs and love,
Dawn

Dawn, I'm so excited you are joining in tonight! First of all the chandy is just stunning, can't wait to see the rest of the room. And this book is new to me, I'm going to track it down, thanks so much for sharing it with us. Anne and I were just talking tonight about your new house and how wonderful it was that you have this opportunity. You are starting from the ground up in decor, I know you're going to have the most amazing inspiration for all of us with all your decorating!! Thanks again, dear Dawn,
big hugs,
Debra

Great story about your chandelier...it is a beauty. Do you mean that if I buy that book, I can decorate just like you? Isn't it fun to pick up something that holds the essence of what you love best? I'm hoping for that day myself.

Hi, Dawn! I have obviously missed a lot of posts and will go back and read them because it sounds like you have moved into an old farmhouse? If so, I really envy you. That is a dream of mine! I can't wait to see how you are decorating it.

Oh girl, the chandelier looks beautiful. French regency, LOL! The medallion looks like plaster or something. Hard to believe it's plastic. That is an obscene price you bought-stole it for!!! I think the price was really $150 and the owner had to go to the potty & asked someone to fill in for a minute. The book you showed is one of my faves. I was just looking at it the other day. The bed is just yummy. Lisa

I know you are just so very busy right now, but could you tell us a little about the magazine you have featured on this post. Is it an old issue? I have never seen it before. Would love to see the rest of it. Thanks if you have the chance. I understand if you can't right now.
