OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!!! You guys are just the best EVER!!!
Thank you so very much for your sweetness.....for your encouragement....
and for all of the farmhouse love!!!
YOU always make things so much more fun ~
I love sharing with you and thanks so much for stopping by to see going on!
And also thank you for being patient with me ~
patient because you never know what you're gonna get here...
Maybe a little artwork, a little found junk or even a little decorating!
My dad came over to the house today to hang my beautiful chandelier
up in the new foyer!! I am so in love with it hanging there!!!
Like a goob I forgot to take a photo but will tomorrow ~
The chandelier looks very similar the these below:
I've spackled so many holes in the walls that the inside of the house looks freckled!!!
Next begins the priming ~ there's so much dark paint and old paneling to cover....
Thank you again precious friends,
have an amazing Thursday!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Hi Dawn! Have been away a few days and just saw your new old house blog! You are so fortunate..dreams do come true. Love your house. I know it will be simply beautiful when you all finish painting etc! Please keep us posted with pics of all your hard work.
Smiles and Blessings,
Nancy
Can't wait to see more pics of your new farmhouse or old farmhouse I should see. I just love it and it's not even mine. Let little Ellie help paint. That's one beautiful chandelier.
Hi Dawn,
What a lovely home you will make your new cottage in the country!! I looks so tranquil and like it has many stories to tell. The chandelier I'm sure is gorgeous and you will make the whole house a sanctuary for your family. Congratulations on a dream come true.... Chapters to follow...Linda
My goodness, I didn't realize you were already in, Dawn! How quick you sold your previous house then! We are going to try again in January, I think. We'll have to wait until after the holidays because hubby is in the retail sector and I lose him basically once November hits. I had hoped we would have been down sized by this time last year, but I guess that's the market.
Good luck painting all that paneling, that is not an easy task, I know, and I don't envy you that task but I do envy your sweet farmhouse!
I know I'm echoing all the previous posts, but what a thrill for you! This beautiful house will be a wonderful canvas for you and your creativity. How exciting! Can't wait to read about all you accomplish! Jamie V in MT
I just know this is going to be fabulous! How sweet that your dad could help out. I am so glad you are letting us journey along with you...now I understand those mysterious paint chips a few posts ago! Happy painting!
I'm so thrilled for you, my sweet farmhouse sista!
:-)
What a fun and exciting time!! Can't wait to see more pics!
Hey Dawn! Congrats on the new home! Did you know there's wallpaper made especially to cover paneling? Our almost 100 yr old home was redone, probably in the 60s, with dark paneling. It was painted, but looked nasty. Our living room looks a lot better once we put up the paintable wallpaper! Just recently found your blog, but love it - we have a lot in common. Hugs!
Wow, I guess you have moved! More older posts...
LOVE the house!
One quote comes to mind.
From Sense and Sensibility when Fanny says: "A little cottage is always very snug!"
:)
Very snug...and sweet!
Hang a chandi and call it home.
