Paint love ~

OK. I've found my new FAVORITE paint!!!!
It's Kilz Casual Colors sold at Walmart ~
Yes. Walmart!
I'm frugal, I admit it...
but I also love a paint that covers quickly and beautifully.
So, what did I do?
I Googled it!
I've seen Kilz paint at w-mart before and wondered about it....
but after searching online, the rave reviews
about this paint convinced me to give it a try ~
It's so wonderfully thick....
Plus they have it in eggshell, perfect!

Here is the "after" in the foyer!!!!
I didn't end up with the Manchester Tan by BM because
frankly I didn't want to pay the price ~
(I'll post the formula in my next post if you like it :)
This is a gorgeous creamy shade that will be the perfect backdrop
for all I want to hang in this wonderful old home.

Welcome to our new home!!!
I hope I don't wear you out with posts of the new house,
my excitement always seems to overflow to my blog....

Have a restful Sunday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Looks wonderful Dawn!
Thanks for the tip on the new paint.
Does it seal and paint at the same time???
We have used Kilz to seal many projects over the years, but then always painted over it with another paint.

thanks

Good tip! I hate paying top dollar for paint. Love the quirky factor about your new home as I'm smiling at the door and the moldings around it. Will it remain part of its charm or are you getting your hubby to do some carpentry chores?

That look super Dawn...those look like the colors I have in my hallway! I like it so much I was thinking I might like it in my living room but silly me forgot to save the color name I used so maybe you have provided me with a substitution! :-) The one thing I wish I had in my old farmhouse is a foyer, when you open the front door there you are, right in the living room. Can't wait to see more.

Man, you're really gettin' after it with the decorating and painting! Where do you get the energy, woman? ;-)

At the rate you're going, I expect to see you finished and ready to start helping US paint our house next!

Anne

You're making great headway, Dawn. You guys have really been busy with the paint roller. That's the first I've heard of Kilz having another type of paint. I'll have to remember this. Don't work too hard, but I know right now it's still in the "fun" catagory. Everything is looking really good!

Dawn,

Good choice. I like Kilz too, it's great to use when you want to go from a dark color to a much lighter color. I would not have the energy to do all you are doing. We will not get tired of hearing and seeing how you "feather your new nest." :')
Warmly, Linda
