In the mood for change.....

Do you ever get in the mood for a little change?
Fall always seems like a wonderful time of year
for freshening up and changing things.
Crazy, huh?
Usually spring is the season for sprucing up ~
What can I say, fall is my time!!!

So what's on my mind?
Paint.
Beautiful shades of paint for the walls....
I think I've found a wonderful shade of khaki....
and as soon as I buy a sample, I'll know for sure.
It's Benjamin Moore Manchester Tan.
Here is a photo I found with a room painted in this gorgeous shade:

And another shade that I've always loved since Cindy of The Plum Tree
painted the antique store, was this gorgeous robin's egg blue....
Here's the formula if you love it....just CLICK HERE ~

Heather of Pretty Petals used the paint formula
for her bedroom paint color too!
I'm not quite sure where I'm going to use these shades
but I've really got a hankering!!!!

And oh my gosh sweet friends....
Jennifer of Adventures in Mixed Media purchased
a piece of my artwork a few months ago
and had her hubby build a frame and shadow box for it.....
JUST LOOK AT HOW WONDERFUL IT IS!!!!!
Oh sweet Jen, do you think I could have it back now?! :)
Just kidding sweetie!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing it with me ~

I have something wonderful to share with you....
and hope to very, very soon ~

Have an amazing week and wonderful Monday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Beautiful colors. I always get in the mood for change in the fall also... I think it is because I know I will soon be indoors for the winter and want new inspiration... The altered art is very pretty... We are in for a very hot couple days in our area....

Dawn - what a beautiful color choice! I work for Benjamin Moore as a color consultant and Manchester Tan is the most popular of the historical color range right now - very 'hip' with all the designers! Are you painting the ceiling? If so, go for one of the soft whites as it really makes the man tan pop. There is also a color in Ben Moore called Robins Nest (Classic color range #618) which is very similar to the one you mentioned above. Sorry for sounding so bossy but I hope this will save you some time! Can't wait to see the results! Have a lovely week - Anji

Hi Dawn
Love the Manchester Tan & Robins Egg blue is such a pretty colour. There's something about heading into September that always stirs up a desire for change ...my favourite Season :-)
The shadowbox around your beautiful artwork piece is absolutely fabulous ~ such a great idea and shows just how much Jennifer loves it ♥
Have a great week Dawn.

My friend painted her entire downstairs in BM's Manchester Tan and it looks awesome! It's one of those great neutrals. Have fun with your painting!

Those colors are on my mind too, I want to repaint my breezeway. They just seem so serene!

Thanks for the 2nd hand tips for our online class-- Mary gave us lots of advice, and she got advice from you, so I guess some of the tips were yours to start with!!

You must get that artwork back by whatever means - it's GORGEOUS! Lovin' those paint colours too. I've just changed my sitting room accent colour from sap green (think spring/summer) to a deep gorgeous red (think autumn/winter). The cream furniture covers and walls stay the same so that's easy! Now my daughter wants her walls changed from paint to wallpaper.........yes, there's something about this time of year for change! x

Aah, paint. We're in the middle of renovating and paint is being applied liberally. There's nothing like it for changing the mood and feel of a room.

I'm the same way, Dawn, more into freshening and changing something in the Fall over the Spring. Spring is more putting away the "heavy" things from Winter for me. Love the paint colors. Robins Egg Blue is one of my favorites as well. I know that sometimes it can be hard to find the one that is right for you, but the color looks great in that picture. Your art piece looks wonderful ~ very important looking in that frame!

Looks so lovely together, those two colors, dear Dawn,-they are both beautifull, and will make every room something special.
And sweetie, your beautifull and wonderfull artpiece looks so fantastic in it new "home".
Lots of love and hugs my friend,
Dorthe

Wow! I am thrilled that everyone likes the "new" frame for your wonderful piece of art. I am honoured to have a little of "you" in my home to inspire and encourage my own creativity. Just a little antique molding found by the side of the road and voila! Perfect frame fodder. Only wish I had more of it.

I definitely get the need to make changes. We are trying to sell our house (http://mapleavenueretreat.blogspot.com/) in a dead market and find a suitable one in the new location. No luck at either end so far. Six months now. I am not looking forward to the prospect of moving but know that when the time comes, we will be looking forward to our new home and making it our own. That means lots of paint!
In the mean time I will enjoy the changes you make in your home. I love the colours you have chosen so far.
Looking forward to your upcoming announcement.

Hey Sweetie,
Please hurry & try that color on a wall so I can copy you. Love the robin egg blue too, but that tan is timeless isn't it? That Jennifer or should I say Mr. Jennifer elevated your artwork to a whole new place didn't she? Maybe you should get some frames from them for a new project. Just sayin'. Lisa

LOVE that Robin's Egg Blue color. And the sweet lace border on that shelf. Also, can't wait to hear what you have to share. Thank you for stopping by to wish Hubby & I well. It has been so hard. We are making progress 2 steps forward & 1 step back. But, we're thankful that we are at least moving forward. Have a great week. HUGS! Charlene

Yes, I'm always wanting to change paint color. I know my husband wants to scream when I tell him I want to re-paint a room. Poor guy.

That is a pretty color. I love the blue ceiling, too.
