Hi Dawn,
Have you figured out what you are going to do with that window pane, yet? I can't wait to see.
I hope you are having a great week. Glad to hear that Noah is recovering well.
Love to you,
Tammy
I love this post! It's true we get such delight at some of the strangest things, yep I could go on for days about the funny little things I love( my husband thinks i am quite mad at times!)
Love the idea of the old books in the little suitcase, and your sweet little kiddie section, and ....
Cheers , Helen
The caption on your journal says it all,"Cherish the simple things." Thanks for sharing, Gerri
I love it ALL!!........but, I really think I am drawn like a moth to a flame to old lace!! that lampshade is so dear!!!
Heart Hugs,
Coleen
Yes Dawn - all vintage things are precious -- Love your vignettes -- I too love some of the same things - old books - antique children's toys - baby items -- Ah ! delight --kathy - ga
Almost all of the above and then some...you're right...what we're attracted to is limitless.
Can I choose all of the above? I love those tiny wooden "feet" with your baby items. I have pair on an end table. One evening my tiny grandson sat looking at them and then looking at his feet. He picked one up and said, "Shoes." He then tried to put them on his feet, it was so adorable.
I hope you are having some fun in your creative space today, it is certainly inspiring to me!
The lace shade above is breathtaking, Dawn! I think lace on a lampshade is just the thing to create romance in any room. Hope all is well with your son.
Hugs!
Nancy
Oh what beautiful things!!! I love the lace on the lampshade!!!
What a lovely post, your photos are simply stunning!! All the best, Chrissy
I don't blame you for being drawn to these lovelies. I especially like the lamp shade. Oh, everything looks so pretty.
Yep...all of those things...thanks for reminding us we can find beauty with just one click to you lovely blog!
Honestly cute lady??? I am drawn to your blog!!:):) I stop here nearly every day for my dose of soothing eye candy. (I am just not one of those to leave comments very often.) Just trust that I am drawn to this incredibly therapeutic escape that you have selflessly created fo all of us.
Yes, Yes and Yes! Sometimes a friend comes to my house and they don't enjoy my "treasures" and I have to remember it is OK. A friend said "your house is so full of your personality" . . . I just smile and say yes, it certainly is. Thanks Dawn for sharing this!!
Dawn, I am "drawn" to YOUR blog because it gives me inspiration yet peace at the beauty around me. I love all of the above & even more so. I do, however, adore that lampshade. I MUST do that on my bedside lamp as it belonged to Mom & I have some of her lace...thanks for the inspirations, as always....sharon
hmm, I'm drawn to all the lovely pictures. They are all of such sweet, yet simple items. It is the little things that we are drawn to that makes our home, "our home", at least that is my two cents! :)
yes! and much more :)
Hi Dawn,
Yes,,I would have to say that I love it all....its sort of a romantic, nostalgic attraction I guess....but who knows what makes us tick? Great post....lovely pictures...
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday....
Take care, Laura
Dawn,
You just keep inspiring me! I adore your settings, I just passed up a birdcage at the thrift store. I wonder if it will be there Monday? I also have suitcases in my garage and some old dresser drawers. THe lace lamps are awesome! You simply make magic!
Thanks for sharing so much of yourself with us. Smiles, Cyndi
Dawn - There is something about old lace, I have some I attached to simple ecru pillows. It is lace my husband's great-grandmother made in the 18oo's. I have the pillows on the bed in what I call "the grandmother's room" upstairs. Thanks as always for the ideas you share.
Charla
Lets see, I am a collecter of Jars,
Old lace...Love the lamps! Buttons are always a great find. Paper, I love paper...and I have a hard time not buying every little journal I find. I love the blank pages just waiting to be filled. I have some that are just waiting for me to get with it!
I can't keep up with your blog, it's like chasing a butterfly!
Love, Mary
