Don't you agree? These old window frames add a little more character to the room.....of course they're a blank canvas right now ~ just waiting for me to hang beautiful old ephemera, photos or handmade tags from the wire.
Seems as though I don't like to have beautiful things tucked away. I want to bring them out, place them in eyesight, maybe under glass or possibly hang them from the ceiling!!!
Beautiful things just make me smile ~

The screened windows hanging from the ceiling is a GREAT idea! When I ask my hubby to hang them in my craft room, I will blame it on you!!!! Your room is looking great.

Dawn,
I am glad you dropped in for a visit. I love the way your creative space is shaping up. I hope you are doing something wonderfully artistic in there today.
This is my first visit to your great site. As I was scrolling down I saw pictures of my dear friend's house! Karen is a treasure and I am really enjoying her blog and creative success-she has turned me on to such creative and inspiring artists such as yourself. I look forward to dropping by often. Many thanks for offering the vintage images.
It looks wonderful and I would be compelled to spend quite a bit of time there!
The windows look great, Dawn! They add a lot of interest to the room.

It looks to me like you are enjoying your studio to the utmost! I love the frames from the ceiling...such a great place to hang goodies and store things. I love your studio!!! I told Don that I wanted to take over our garage & make it just like yours and he said "NO WAY" where would I store everything I have in there now...so that will have to wait. Love every single nook of your creative space. Do you ever go into your living quarters now?
Love ya'
Sharon

Haha! Miss Dawn, it seems blog awards are being showered upon you in abundance! I've also awarded you one: http://hummadeedledee.blogspot.com/2009/05/lovely-blog-award.html
And I love the window frames hung that way.... just think of all of the sweet things you can dangle from them with seam binding & string!
What a wonderful idea, hanging the window frames from the ceiling! I have seen iron grates used as pot racks, but how fun to see the worn wood, and imagine what beautiful treasures wait on your insiration as you work beneath. . .
What a beautiful idea, Dawn! I just adore your studio too. Look how wonderfully it took shape! Hurray!
Sheila
