The Birds' Christmas Tree ~

I have several very old children's books from around 1887 or so. The images are so beautiful and the writing as well. As I've not been very good at sharing new things I've made lately, but I do want to share with you these sweet images! Just click to enlarge and right click to save to your computer. The poem is just wonderful! Read about making your own bird Christmas tree HERE ~

I also want to share with you the name that Brent and Emily have decided on for our sweet granddaughter!!! Her name will be Madeline Clara Edmonson ~ and she will be called Clara .... our sweet baby Clara!!

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday sweet friends!
xxoo, Dawn

What a beautiful name your son & daughter in law have chosen.
Being a bird lover (like you) we have a tree just outside our kitchen window that is already strung with cranberries and orange wedges. Hopefully the squirrels will leave something for the birdies :-)

Isn't it wonderful how we fall in love with our babies before we even know them. Clara is loved, her name is really sweet, just like she is. Won't it be fun to post her first picture. That will be a special gift for us out hear in Blogland.

Oh, Madeline Clara is such a beautiful, beautiful name--you are going to LOVE being a grandmother, Dawn! I cannot tell you enough how wonderful and rewarding it is--I imagine a Victorian production of "The Nutcracker" when I think of the name of Clara--so sweet. XOXO, Jann
PS--Where did you find this gorgeous photo?

Hi Dawn,

I stumbled on your website first seeing the posted poem "Among The Trees", and I fell in love with the artwork and the poem. I wonder if you could tell me the name of the book, the author, and when it was printed. You have so many treasures on your website! Thank you for sharing.

Christine
