Yaaaay!! I was able to complete another tutorial! This one is for the silver plate collage. You can adapt it to different sized plates or platters too. I've given the materials used and techniques all in my tutorial for purchase at: The Little Speckled Egg blog ~
A sample photo from the tutorial: (I love pictures and use step-by-step photographs in my tutorials)
My husband picked this up for me this evening at the grocery store and I've just got to tell you, I loved this issue!! Lots of good tidbits here and there. When you're out, thumb through it and see if you like it too.....
inspiration. is. everywhere......
I can't believe it's Thursday already! The time is just whizzing by me ~
I. must. do. MORE!!
Do you ever feel like that? So many ideas, just rolling around in your head but where is the time to do THEM ALL!!
Hope you have a great day today,
xxoo, Dawn

Dawn, I think we are on the same page as far as the magazines. I can't pass them up. Your tray will be a great tutorial.
My mind is sometimes to full and I go backwards.
Hugs,
Bonnie
I just received my new issue of CL and now I can't wait to open it. It's sitting on the coffee table at my parents' just waiting for me to have the time to pick it up. As you can see, I'd rather read blogs. :D
Hi Dawn... I find the magazines and beautiful blogs inspire me to want to make more and change my decorating objects around all the time..... That is the reason I have been working on my Christmas items for my tree so I can have the plan and all completed so I can enjoy the holidays more with baking and entertainment ect. My mind never rests even though I shouldn't be like that anymore in retirement. The only difference is I can do it for myself now.... It is good to have a active mind however and with you it is great as we get to view and read all your beautiful art and lovely intentions.
You are so talented! Jen R
Dawn, yes! Not enough hours in the day to do everything!

Yes, all of us artisans need one more day that nobody else gets...right...that would be fair...right.

Love the tray , beautiful -- yes wanting to create , but as my blog pictures can attest -- It is a slow go - and I only showed a tiny portion of my sorting and messes - I am like the train story -- I THINK I CAN _ I THINK I CAN -- I will be organized - I am determined -- will post the only
spot ready for viewing -- did this when the shelf went up -- couldn't help it -- all work and play ya know -- LOL - lotsa euphanisms ?

So few hours, so much to do! The tray is very nice! I haven't picked up CL yet, but I love that magazine. Magazines are just wonderful to fill that creativity well!
PS - (ok, a realy really late PS...) I'm having my very first contest! Come on over!

I picked up this issue at Bruno's just this morning :) Have a great Friday, dear friend~
I know exactly what you mean about the headspace being too full! Preparing to live in a new house next week has given me three times more studio room, and so not only are my thoughts filled with house fiddlies like utility connections, trailer hire etc, but I also can't help thinking about room decor, and how I'll be able to start exploring all those things I haven't had room for...back to painting and box assemblage again!
I love your plate tutorial (grat, another idea for my head!) and Country Living, it's one of my favourites. The UK version is breath-taking!
