From loving hands ~

I received the most precious mail love Monday. It traveled from far away to get here too . . . all the way from Denmark!!! And what a beauty she is, my little sea angel. My sweet friend Dorthe of Den Lille Lade sent her as a gift.

As I sat and studied her face and all of her beautiful details, I thought of Dorthe's loving hands making this artwork. And now here she is, in my home after traveling so many miles! What a precious gift . . . from Dorthe's hands. I just love her Dorthe. You are so sweet to send her to me and she will take a place of honor in my art room ~ My muse, the sea angel . . .

Many times I stop and look at my hands and thank God for them. They are the tools we use to prepare food for our families, brush our children's hair, fold clean clothes, decorate our homes, and also to create beautiful artwork. I don't ever want to take my hands for granted ~ they truly are a gift. So when you look at that pie someone brought to the picnic, or the freshly ironed shirt someone's wearing or even a sweet sea angel from Denmark, you can know in your heart, it was made with loving hands.

After the post office trip Monday with a laundry basked FULL of artwork going all over the place, I had to stop and see if there were any magazines that I've been missing out on. Well, the new Somerset Home is out and it is absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I've glanced through it but still need to do my slow-page-turning-soak-it-all-up looking at it.

The other magazine I found was the new issue of Holiday Crafts featuring some of Johanna Parker's creations! I love the vintage look of her items and have always wanted to make snowmen ornaments ~ I may have to give these a try!!

Have a great Tuesday!!

xxoo, Dawn

Lovely sentiment about our hands Dawn.
It's amazing how God blesses us when our hands are working in tandem with our hearts.

Have a beautiful day!

Wonderful thoughts about our hands, Dawn--and a reminder not to take them for granted.
What a lovely gift from your friend--halfway around the world! A sweet treat for you!
I just stopped off at Barnes and Noble bookstore today in hopes of finding Somerset Life...but alas, it isn't in yet. Will have to wait a few more days, I guess. sigh.
Take care, sweet friend!!
Blessings!

There's a giveaway on my blog...stop on over!

The little doll is precious, Dawn. Imagine...the travels those tiny pieces of driftwood have taken upon the sea....and now they've traveled back across the sea to you from Denmark! If driftwood could talk...

Trying to make the rounds and catch up a little bit. I picked up these same mags last week. I've been a big fan of Johanna's ever since I found PBK and began buying them (for my booth). Love all that she does. Fun to see her in this mag.
