God never loved me in so sweet a way before;
'Tis He alone who can such blessings send;
And when His love would new expression find
He brought thee to me and He said, "Behold, a friend."

I wanted to show you the most wonderful little boxes that I found a couple of years ago when Cindy, Sharon and I went on an adventure together to the World's Longest Yard Sale!! I still have a lot of the things I found as I couldn't bear to part with them.
These two tiny boxes are the sweetest things. They are only about 3" cubes with little tops to them. I purchased them to make artwork out of them but I just can't!! Do you have things like that? You bought them fully intending on using them for artwork or to resell and they just can't leave your hands ~
OH and remember the sweet mail love from Christina yesterday?? Well, I'm such a goob and didn't realize she has a blog, Rustic Tarts!!! She and Marion are wonderful artists in Australia. They haven't been blogging long so I'd just love for you to pay them a visit to welcome the to the sweet Land of Blog. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness, Christina ~
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday sweet friends,
xxoo, Dawn

Beautiful
Dawn, these boxes are SO unique. I agree. I think they're perfect just as they are. Putting them in a setting with other used and loved items, maybe with them open and holding something equally as precious, they'd make a wonderful display. And you're good at that!
Maybe bits of lace or a necklace gently falling over the sides...pieces of ephemera...bird's eggs! What a perfect nesting place for a tiny nest - your trademark!

Those boxes are so wonderful as they are that I think your instincts are right on. Enjoy them unretouched as they say.
I'm sending you a fun little email soon with a photo attached. Hope that you like it!
Oh yes, the boxes and cupboards filled with treasure to sweet to part with...we are sick in the head...but are having a great time of it.

Those are the sweetest little boxes and I'm sure I couldn't part with them either. After reading the message...seems to me they may have been jeweler boxes in a time past. Oh so personal! Thanks for sharing.

Those little boxes are sweet and I wouldn't alter them either! Too cute as is! I found their blog yesterday from the comment to your post! Sneaky, huh?
You have such an eye for yummy vintage goodness. I love those boxes, too. They look just like you.
Your boxes are lovely, I love the weathered golden yellow, and the simplicity of them. Thanks for sharing! Roxanne
What sweet boxes! They are perfect as they are. I'll pop over to meet your new friend. Enjoy Labor Day!
