A gift and tidbits of inspiration ~

The thoughtfulness of others amazes me . . . look what came in the mail today ~ One wonderful, lone, little red shoe! Don't you love it??

A few weeks ago I had an email from a sweet lady, Dorothy, she was in an old empty house and saw this little red shoe on the mantle and thought of me!
She mailed it right off and here it is in all it's cuteness ~

Thank you so much Dorothy, it's precious!

~ Tidbits of Inspiration ~

Look at this gorgeous shop photograph ~ I've always loved the look of this room and just look at the ceiling treatment!! I love the billowing fabric with flowers.

Collections are wonderful ~ you know I love them, I have plenty of my own! Look at how grouping your collections together gives them such impact.....

And the last tidbit is this adorable way to feed our feathered friends!! Don't you love the little pails all grouped together? Looks a little like a buffet for birds
!

Wishing you a great Friday!!!

xxoo, Dawn

Dawn,
You're a night owl ~ like me!

I love the idea for the bird feeder ~ is it in a current magazine?

The red shoe reminds me of one my son had ~ almost thirty years ago! I'm sure you'll do something wonderful with it!

Have a blessed Friday!

Love that little red shoe! Makes you wonder whose little foot wore it. I like the idea of grouping collections. I have too many and they're scattered about. It makes sense to turn them into a focal point. As always, thanks for the great inspirations!

Good Day Dawn... Oh those lovely photos.... I found the shelves very interesting ... the placement of objects on them was rather quaint.. I am going to redo my fireplace and bookshelf area in the next couple days... I may try to do some diferent placement and see if I can get somewhat of that look... I really don't waant to buy anything else so will try to make a few objects I have work... I have to sit and look at it ... Tomorrow I am in a golf tourament and next day is Sunday so will once again place the thinking cap on... I am going to try to find me some very old clocks as I am seeing more and more vignettes done with lots of clocks and I love that look. I also wouls like to place a couple photos in a couple old clocks.. The search is on.... Have a great day...

Love every thing, of corse !!! I am getting ready to have some shelves something like these made for my dining room. I will have to try my hand at it. And now I want to pull out my baby shoes that my mom saved and try my hand at some of these cute little shoes you have made. I also have my brothers shoes and his little cowboy boots. You are an inspiration and I can't wait to try some of your ideas.
And oh could you tell... what magazine is it???
Thanks and Hugs, Rockin' Robin S.

Oh! Dawn...I just love all the pictures and great ideas...especially the bird feeder! Very interesting and so unique!

That red shoe is just priceless and precious...I can't wait to see you work your magic with it! I don't think I have seen a red shoe like that in...well...forever! You know I have my daughters first pair of shoes very similar to your new red one...only in white. My mom bought them for her at 9 months old when baby girl just started to walk...my sweet mother felt it very important to have good support for her little feet! I think; instead of keeping them packed away for loving daughter to have one day...I might just make a pin cushion out of one...and set the other beside it. That way I can enjoy them everyday...remember fondly how much my mother meant to all of us...and "sigh" at the thought of my daughter being 9 months old when she wore those for the first time...and now she is going on 29 YEARS!!

Thanks for always sharing your finds and inspirations...you are such a thoughtful and giving gal...that's one thing I love about you...among many!

I've been MIA for a while...sorry about that...I just returned from Costa Rica w/my girls...and had an absolute blast. I hope to do a better job keeping up with my fav. blogs...but I'm not always as good at that as I would like to be. I have a lot going on (just like everyone else...how do you guys keep up??) I feel as though one foot is tacked to the floor and I am running in circles...hmmm...do you have any great inspirations on TIME MANAGEMENT??

Blessings...
Teresa
